London 2012 gold medallist Katie Taylor will defend her lightweight title in Rio after securing an Olympic Games berth at the World Championships.
The Co Wicklow fighter beat Victoria Torres of Mexico on a unanimous decision to make the semi-finals.
All four semi-finalists in Kazakhstan qualify for the Olympics this summer.
Taylor, 29, who is guaranteed at least a bronze medal, impressed in Tuesday's quarter-final with a clinical display and is aiming for a sixth world title.
Nice for Paddy Barnes who will hold the Irish flag in Rio. Theres a fair chance that we have a many as 6 boxers going to Rio which is remarkable for a small country like Ireland.

Sry foremites it seems Kelly harrinton weight class is one of the few that wont be in the Rio Olypmics which is a great shame, she was very impressive in her win over Canadian Opponent in the s/final this morning, Katie Taylor fight will be shown on RTE at 2.30 today.
