We all know they are there and generally click the consent button.
Sometimes (myself included) this is done in good faith.
But what are you giving your consent to on here?
Have to say i am not very computer literate but looked twice at their policy;
Targetting Cookies;
Used to deliver content such as adverts,tend to be from 3rd party with Betfairs permission and may share information about websites you have visited
with other organisations.
These tailor content you have provided to their "sister sites" who are these "sister sites"?
These also provide advertising adgencies about your visit so they can present you with advertisements you MAY be interested in.
Really? i would think most have ad blocker on and couldn't give a monkeys about an ad you MAY think someone is interested in.
Does these "Agencies" pay Betfair for ads we MAY be interested in? Or they free or is someone making money out of information most are consenting to give
in good faith?
The cheek part is after you have provided Betfair by consenting to cookies and therefore your personal information,
it will cost you £10 to view that data along with a copy of passport and utility bill.

Have never investigated these sort of issues , pa , possibly unfortunate that I tend to trust people until they prove otherwise . There was a thread about people being able to track your bets etc , could't care less about that myself , but I suspect that there is more "information sharing" about than we know about .
I know that within one week way back I got 3 accounts with different bookies closed , they had all been running for years . I would bet 1.01 that was not coincidence , but proving it might cost more than a tenner . And "sisterhood" may not be to everyones satisfaction ultimately. |
