I'm buying it for fifty years but not anymore.
Today's editorial is the last straw for me,it should stick to the racing even though its no longer good at that.

You've got to hand it to the evil empire they have the whole media bought.
For that reason alone ye should hope Britain leave that sinking ship.

WMB cannot get the Field here. What is the subject matter, surely not Muslims??

I find myself agreeing with Wildmanfromborneo , seems they don't really want to let go of the gravy train either , practically mute on the subject of the ban , everythings rosy in the garden ,we'll all have a great time @ Punchestown and everything will be forgotten.

Leo Powell called for all Irish people to contact relations and friends in Britain to beseech them to vote to remain in the EU.

Like all those Monnet professors those grants are coming in handy now.

I might buy it just to read the article.  If what is said above is true then they have wandered into someone else's field, and it is not an Irish field.
It sound like an article was "submitted" and published as requested.

In the book The Black Horse Inside Coolmore the author says the Racing Post is owned by them.
The author says ownership is impossible to trace because of  the long line of holding companies and convoluted structure.
The Racing Post editor refused to print an advertisement for the book, and of course the Irish Field editor also refused.

It was an editorial.

A truly scary letter appeared in todays edition penned by a Dr Delany from Meath - he noted that there was no surprise expressed in last week's edition at the Geraghty suspension being lifted therefore inferring that a very unfair slur had been perpetrated on a top class jockey for which there should be accountability on the part of the Regulator's Limerick Stewards including retraining for them and the Stewards Secretary involved. Evidently the Doctor concerned lives a sheltered life relying on the Irish Field exclusively for his racing knowledge and has not encountered recent diatribes written by Kevin Blake , Richie Forrestal and Pat Keane extolling the Limerick Stewards for taking action and decrying the consistent overturning of local Stewards decisions by the Appeals/Referrals Committee. But how many more poor unfortunates succumb to the Irish Field 'happy clappy' see no evil hear no evil cheerleading of Irish Racing and all its marvellous participants? No editorial comment ever on anything remotely controversial in racing but publishing this letter along with referring to the embittered Ted Walsh nonsense during the Punchestown coverage about 2 or 3 terrible decisions in the last year at local level which were overturned on appeal ( presumably including his own OJ moment ) tells its own tale - plenty of dissent out there but not a peep of it in the Irish Field !
