An aptly titled winner today for trainer Aidan O'Brien, but in reality he doesn't train the animal. Its actually under the care of someone else who is not authorized as a trainer by the Turf Club. So Joe Bettor has to now second guess whether a 2-y-o is trained at Ballydoyle or Owning in two very different yards with different regimes by different people, which is somewhat different to the situation in 1992 when Aidan O'Brien trained horses under his wife's licence. At least they were all trained from the same yard. How long will the Turf Club permit this sham? I wonder would Eoin Doyle have an opinion on the matter, given his run in with Justice Tony Hunt a few years ago? Then again some of the animals on the hill carry those green and gold hoops...
The problem is the Turf Club and their mandatory course. They haven't enough victims to go on their ridiculously expensive course so Joseph OBrien has to wait.
