I make him a maximum place lay........zero chance under topweight in a Scottish national....I would happily bet 2/1 with anyone offering that he does not finish, most likely a pulled up job.

I didn't want hear that from you anyway KL
,i know the stats are terrible with the top weights and an amateurs at a totally different type track isn't particulary a plus either but the manner was spectacular,if it runs like that tomorrow i'd still be hopeful. Can see your logic as well, even going well he was on the verge of being out of touch at a point and rarely backs up a good run with another. We'll see, good luck if you bet. |

concur about cause of causes and think it has no chance at the weights, measureofmydreams could come on for its last run and go well or
something from the midlands national could go well milans bar. |

Pa won't see this on my way to UK for a weeks racing , but if I was having a punt I'd be on Folsum Blue , its last couple of runs have been very good ,and with a nice weight and young Rings claim plus Mouse's stats for the last couple of Nationals, its surely worth a few quid of anyones money .Might stop of at one of those Costas and have a look , hope you have a bit of luck . Take care...

Be some feat if mouse wins the Scottish one tomorrow, fairytale stuff,
Wasn't it ruby who nearly rode all 4 winners of the 4 nationals in the same season a few years back? (Welsh, Irish,English,Scottish) Can't for the life of me remember the year but nearly sure he almost done the clean sweep in one season recently enough. |
|
By:
Hedgehunter,Numbersixvalverde and Silver Birch could be a good sequence.
Not alone are they Ruby's three National winners in the one season but they also are three Aintree Grand National winners in a row. |

Surely Alvarado has a decent chance? Carrying a light weight, rated 5lbs lower than when 4th in the National last year. Same type of prep for the race again this year except didnt get in. The drying ground also should suit. Will be ridden patiently, just hope Moloney doesnt leave him too much to do, 25/1 looks value.
I would be looking towards bottom of the weights too. |

Tour des Champs is nicely weighted. I hope the jockey is able to lead or get into a prominent position. If he does you will get a good run for your money. 33/1 e/w

Pineau De Re
Not getting any younger i know but has ran some decent races over both hurdles and fences this season so clearly still enjoying himself. Well handicapped now again (6lbs lower than his national win). Stable in red hot form.. 4 winners and a 2nd from it last 7 runners. Surely has to be there or thereabouts @ 33/1 e/w |
|
By:
Covering Heathfield but main bet is Milansbar e/w at 33-1+.
He got a very average ride in the Midlands national and should go well at the price. |
