I tuned into The Late Late Show on Friday Night and was pleased to learn more about this 'Homelessness Crisis'.

A well-dressed, glamorous young lady, smothered in fake tan, brought her appalling plight to the Nation's attention.  The poor woman lives in a Hotel.  All she wants is an end to the State Sponsored pampering....to make her own bed, wash her own sheets.

I may be over-emoting but was hugely touched by this heart rendering tale.  The image of this woman having her room cleaned for her, paid for her, all utility bills taken care of, free health care and education plus a couple of hundred notes spending money a week...it was too much to bear.

I know fully understand how Pa Lapsy has no symapthy for possession-less, starving children, whose homes have been bombed to rubble, are fleeing their homeland on makeshift rafts and washing up on foreign beaches.  Thee Refugees don't know they were born when compared to the plight of our Hotel Homeless.

We need to look in inside our hearts, dig deep and see if we can't get her an upgrade to the Penthouse Suite.

Bolloxology,i know you are a bit deaf, you loves that ould phota and are still well hoodwinked by it,i told you numerous times that the vast majority are economic chancers and a few jihadists thrown in as well.
They don't seem to get the fundamental rules of Western society,Cologne is witness to that.
Look after the not well off here D,ozy, lot of people struggling to pay rent and will never own a house, as someone that is  self proclaimed "Anglo-Irish" WTF???. you don't seem to care too muuch for the Irish themselves

Does she even have cable tv in that hotel, Pa?  Apparently she only gets fresh laundered bed linen supplied once a week.

My heart is broken by her plight.

Shure won't the migrants get the same if not better treatment when they arrive?
More pressure on the housing market.
Careful what you wish for.

Apparently the complementary wifi is a bit iffy and the Fluffy Towels only get changed every 3 days.

I can understand why you are so passionate and torn up about this appalling 'Crisis'.

You are on about 1 particular case.
115 are sleeping rough on Dublins streets.
It is a crisis and only for relatives(generally parents) the crisis would be a whole lot worse, quite a lot of the younger generation have little hope of ever buying their own home and are/or paying a large part of their salary paying some buy to let investors.
I'd be quite passionate about it alright.

115?  Wow.

A crisis of epic proportions.

Norway has an even more snug, generous, safety blanket (welfare system) than our own.  And yet Oslo has thousands of people sleeping rough.  There will always be people sleeping rough no matter how much the State hands to them on a plate.

Do the Hotel Homeless get a discount on Room Service? Not that they would need it with their couple of hundred notes a week State pocket money.

Every edition of Primetime or V Browne that has discussed homeless has had a similar case but I couldn't believe it when I read this one a few weeks back

Dublin man considered one of the city’s most dangerous predators is back on the streets.

Philip Murphy (35), who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for kidnapping a woman, was allowed to slip out of the side door of Arbour Hill prison away from waiting media.
Murphy received the 10-year sentence in 2009 for kidnapping a woman a year earlier.

He was the chief suspect in a similar incident that happened in 2008.
After his release yesterday, father-of-three Murphy was driven to the housing section of South Dublin County Council in Tallaght.

That was a month ago,  he's been arrested since,  suppose once he's arrested it doesn't count as homeless.

Ozy/Rocketfingers, park your hatred of all things Irish for a while and get the lights fixed in the showgrounds. The rumour of the Asian betting syndicate taking them out is not working.

I got off the plane and as far as the Kinsale roundabout and this fella was standing at the side of the road with a billboard on him.had no specs on and the taxi driver said he lost his house and was protesting.
Taxi driver was a sound skinhe lamented the fact of the severe and widening gulf between rich and poor in the country,he works for under minimum wage himself.
On the plane read that Gardi cannot afford to get on the housing ladder, accept they can start off low and would want to live in a scobie free area but still an eyeopener.
Your argument that they are 53 homeless people in Ireland and a wan that is doing okay under the system comes under a bit of scrutiny, more so when you are clamouring for 5000 people(+25000) dependants) from the other side of the globe at a cost of 5 figures pp.
Get real Dozy.

After what happened in Orlando will Ozy still be welcoming his FRIENDS here I wonder ...
Report wildmanfromborneo June 12, 2016 6:47 PM BST
The uncouth vulgarian has no intention of welcoming anyone,he wants others to do it

Similarly he wants those on the housing list to vacate it to let these new arrivals on i

He makes no sacrifice but wants to feel good at the expense of our local unfortunates,
