Maiden winners always seem to get hurled in in Dundalk,Hogans horse the danger.

They seem to be taking turns in winning these races.

Although in fairness form seems to work out to the pound nearly.

Smullen night, he carried Carried over the line so to speak though the apprentice had a bit of a mare, compo soon for that.
He is off to Lingfield Friday for a few Irish horses and will have a few decent looking in Mallow over the weekend. No surprise if not the same start for them as last season.

Suppose we really should be having a good look at what looks like a cracking Irish National instead of guessing fitness levels of first time out for the season but as Mr Weld had a blistering start last year where his appeared very fit tis no harm to keep a lazy eye on them anyway and put the glasses on for Gowran Park.

A Likely Story,
Thought its second run a bit disappointing particulary as false as it may read Bleu de Vega was behind in 3rd on debut, like horses to have a run and with decent enough form Clear Cut should get off the mark.
Eagle Valley
Nice story today with Tracy Collins and the back from the dead Captains Joy and while it is a weak enough handicap and a lenient mark on 70 this looks competitive with a fair few that has been running at Dundalk,Dragon Khan swithes from obstacles to run off 52 though the 7f trip should be no bother. Think Pat might need it to snow.
Creme de La
Rise in trip should be a help but thought it only plugged on on debut, wouldn't dismiss Pat but up against Jet Setting who ran creditably in a good handicap and 3rd in a listed race in France last twice.
Love In The Sun
This one is fav albeit 4/1 for this handicap,a mark of 64 looks fair enough on 3 mundane enough runs on the aw,has fitness alright but a rotten hard race to try to evaluate, think Pat will be out of luck.
Stuccodor
A right trappy handicap but one worth watching. Despite a host of dangers think trip and ground are right, pity with 15 runneres as the current double figure price would have been a small ew for me. Pats to run well.
Harzand
Think this is his best chance of a winner but the books seem to agree,i liked its debut run where he stayed on well enough, the 2 furlongs are a plus. Interesting race as will last years scenario play out in that O Briens will have a run? Also how will Leigh Roche ride his?

Enjoy your Easter weekend.
