Yorkhill, No More Heroes and Ballyandy for me tomorrow.

First 2 races look cracking head to heads. Hopefully we get 2 great battles up the hill with both the Irish trained horses coming out on top.

Think the two head to heads in the 1st two races is a good descrpbtion.

Was so impressed with Yanworth last time twas awesome, while Yorkhill looked to be cantering in the Tolworth he worked in the end.
Maybe start of a green and gold day?
No More Heroes is the only horse i backed in the weeks leading up,was very confident all along but this morning just hopeful, the vibes seem to be with More Of That and hope i'm wrong.
Josies Orders looks a decent price given connections.
Very impressed with Augusta Kates wins as usual in recent years a very tough race with loads in with chances but couldn't resist 9/1.

Best of luck with your picks.

What a days racing to look forward to. A an absolutely cracking card IMO.

I was massively taken by Yanworth last time, beating senseless what I believe to be a very good novice. Yorkhill will certainly put up a fight, and there are others in here that could win an ordinary renewal. Yanworth is far from ordinary, and can prove that today. 6-4 will do for me.

The Sun Alliance is another billed as a match, and I really cant see anything else getting involved bar No More Heroes and More of That. More of That was a serious hurdler, taking the scalp of the superb AP in the WH. I backed him on chase debut, as had heard glowing reports, and he duly obliged. I wasn't overly taken with his jumping, with him being a bit high and ponderous unless Barry asked him for one. To be fair, when asked he always delivered, but he maybe isn't as natural as NMH.

NMH looks the real deal, and though I have had a bit at 11-4 and 3-1 this morning, my main bet has been him without MOT at 6-4. I think that is a cracking price.

I have the handkerchiefs at the ready for the Queen Mother. If Sprinter Sacre wins, there surely wont be a dry eye in the house. I think he will, and is an absolute dinger of a bet e.w at 11-2.

Un de Sceaux is a strong fav, and though he obviously deserves to be favourite, I cant for the life of me make him a 4-5 shot. I was impressed with him at Ascot the last day, but to my eye Sire de Grugy didn't run to form. He was all out to beat Gods Own 6 lengths in the Arkle last year. That will need to be improved upon. A lot.

SS looked imperious at the November meeting, and Kempton probably came a bit quick. What was encouraging, and I have to say surprising, about that win was the way he knuckled down having looked beat two out. He didn't with the same zest that day, but the vibes are that he is strutting around like a peacock at home, and he may just put on a show today.

If he is tanking like he does in his pomp, I expect Nico to put it up to UDS from the halfway mark. Akin to Vaniteux trying to go with Douvan yesterday, II fear the worst for UDS if he tries trade jumps with SS in full flight.

Bring it on!!

Backed Politologue, Arbre de Vie and Avant Tout all e.w in the Coral

Its very hard to see past Josies Orders and Nina Carberry in the X Country.

I have been sweet on Campeador for awhile now in the Fred Winter, and have added Voix du Reve who travelled like a very good horse on Irish debut.

The bumper is wide open, but I have long been a fan of Augusta Kate. She could be an absolute superstar. Probably not a race to be too gung ho at, and in favouring the Irish form have added Avenir Dune Vie and Battleford.

Best of luck all.

I didn't have a bet in the race but also had a tear in my eye. I went on the Wednesday in 2013 specifically to see Sprinter Sacre. I could have gone today but did not believe he had a chance. I'm kicking myself now. Sad

What do we make of UDS run today lads?
Have to say I was very disappointed as I'm a huge fan, love the horse, thought he'd put up a better show,
Did he sulk when ST took him on up front? Looked totally cooked turning in but battled back gamely for second,
Did they both cut each other's throats up front and set it up for Sprinter?
I mean if UDS can't go with ST then he must have been going some lick up front,
Taking each other on up front only played into one horses hand today and that was the winner, not taking anything away from sprinter who is an absolute freak and I'll hold my hands up and was the first to say he'll never come back, his junp at the last kinda summed up the horse, absolutely bulldozed it, nothing can stop him when he's like that.
Back to the drawing board for UDS who I still think is a bit of a freak.

Doubt he has ever had to race that hard and that long before , hes been having it easy this side of the Irish sea . Willies can frighten off  the opposition, and in this case it showed that thats not always the way to go . Still plenty of races to be won with him , can't see SS been around to much longer . Maybe they'll send him back over to the UK more often next season, that could be the making of him .

Frustrating end to the day punting wise.

After Sprinters superb success, Josies Orders was a very unlucky second. Nina found more trouble than a priest in a crèche.

I was giving myself a mighty clap on the back as they approached the last in the Fred Winter only for Campeador and Voix to both come down. The cat moved very quickly!

When Battleford got chinned on the line, it was a bitter pill to swallow.

Though if someone offered me todays results, with SS winning and the ensuing bad luck.....I would have taken it all day long.

I don't see the need for the post mortem on why UDS didn't perform. I though he ran to form. That backed up by him beating Gods Own by a very similar distance in last years Arkle. If SS didn't nearly fall 3 out, and paddle through the last, he would have won very impressively. UDS is a decent horse, but he is no star.

Douvan would demolish him. As would Vautour. As has Sprinter.
