Don't think thats a great move for Colm Calling Card ,will he still ride for Coolemore ? .Jessie has little by way of really good flat horses the odd exception granted , can't really see this been a life changer for either of them.

Workrider.Colm evidently sees himself as surplus to requirements at Ballydoyle, it will be interesting who they use on the lesser days. Seamie not top notch imo. Jessie has a large string of flat horses for the campaign by all accounts.
Fran leaving leaves a void for someone to fill. May be a new/returned jockey will step up

COD is a very good jockey, not many better in a finish, good for him setting himself a new challenge, Jessie knows how to pick em bar maybe puppy power

Calling Card you have your ear to the ground. Fallon is definately out of left field.
Report mrcombustible March 18, 2016 7:28 PM GMT
Why would anyone sign Fallon nowadays, totally unreliable as far as turning up never mind riding
Report gemini01 March 19, 2016 1:00 PM GMT
Fallon going riding for Michael o Callaghan by all accounts for the coming season, the much traveled wanderer returns!!!!

Well lads. first day back at school over, my thoughts are
race 1 2yo maiden won in good style , there seemed to be a golden highway on the stands rails. they looked a motley crew in the ring. maybe the 3rd home will improve to win a similar contest.
6f maiden again all the pace on the stands side, Welds trapped wide all the way and can win a 7f maiden. Lynams finished like an express train .stenographer could develop into a Guineas contender .
6f handicap , usual suspects with Master Speaker finding loads of trouble,Patrick totally outclassed .Club Wexford ran a blinder and showed a good return to form
Devonshire missed out on a soft black type affair get caught close by nice 3 yo filly who handled conditions very well, others in the race will improve a lot for the outing notably Fluff
u would need to watch the Lincoln 20 times to have a view
Madrid handicap was won in great style by a nice Cape Cross colt who ran at least to 105 today
mile maiden noteworthy for Leigh Roche doing well to prevent his horse from beating his stable companion, again a race to watch a number of times

yes for his age wr he always does keep himself fit

A great résumé from Calling Card.

I loved the way Queens Blossom battled at Cork, thought she was sensational on the Curragh.
She is by Jeremy so could be ground dependent.

Awtaad put up some performance in the 3 year old handicap, could be even better on better ground.
I keep writing off Kevin Prendergast on age grounds and am being continually proved wrong.

The last race should be a decent maiden,Shamreen and Claudio Monteverdi the obvious ones to take out of it but for me I think I saw a monster gamble for the future, one that will involve measurement and lots of singles.
Report neill d March 22, 2016 1:41 PM GMT
Can't follow the Racing properly of late. I understand Awtaad was top-weight but maybe the fact that he was allowed to go off 5/1 is the problem that people have with Kevin Prendergast! Said afterwards that he as an Irish Guineas horse and that he was straight enough to nod need another run after this. Irish Guineas horse, relatively fit and going off at that price in a handicap seems nuts to me.

YES WILDMAN a drop in trip and better ground and we can then study some cartography ?
Report wildmanfromborneo March 22, 2016 2:28 PM GMT
I see where you are coming from and it could be sheer bliss for the new partnership but the singles I refer to are chips, the measurements are racing ones.

the name of its dam is quite apt and the owner can ave a sojourn in an oasis afterwards too , good spot my man
Report wildmanfromborneo March 22, 2016 2:51 PM GMT
Knew it wouldn't take you long.

Glad you spotted the chips were poker chips and not the ubiquitous hanger on.
