Not sure I'd agree BWS, massive improvment from its first run were it was beaten out of sight. Sure it was stepped up hugely on its second run and finished well.I think you should be careful and keep that pink button as far a way as possible.

Am laying for a large amount Wonks.  I have been wrong many times and will be wrong in the future but i know what i saw on its first two runs and thats a horse who is stone useless.  I could run faster than it.

It’s a shocking race. If you back Flood’s & O’ Brien’s e/w against the top two you could get a very decent ROI.

Think Urano has a fair chance in the first. He travels nicely and can see him going well down the hill before galloping strongly home. He has some decent handicap hurdle form which would put him above what most have achieved. Nine Stitches should ensure a good gallop.

Fair move for Byrnes in the second. Must have been a dream for Charles to see a useless Mullins horse making the price early. Given the respective ownerships I would be surprised if there wasn’t back channelling in the past few days.

Bobcatbilly is bar a fall in Kelso.

charles 8 to 1.76 is a fair move for sure!!   wps 2.9 to 6

Took some of the 3/1 earlier, fairly obvious one wasn't it, given they know exactly what it would take to beat the Mullins beast again

I would have major doubts about Bobcatbilly staying the trip, he was always a 2m4/2m5 horse and seemed to hit a wall outside of that range. his presence creates a fair e/w price about course winner wayupinthesky.

the Clonmel bumper has two duds, any of the other six could win/place. I agree with bigstyle, unbelievable that Be The Hero is as short as 5/2, looked as slow as a boat in a donkey race last time, and the first time cheekpieces suggest he is very limited, strong chance he will oblige for place layers as well.

Think it's the worst bumper run in a long time. Am laying Elliott in both win and place market and going in strong on Mullins for the win. Had a hard race first time yo and didn't run race the last day.  Very ordinary but should win this.

The Clonmel bumper is almost a carbon copy of the same race last year. Mullins (Nickname Exit) and Elliot (Nickname Exit) dominated the market despite looking very beatable horses. They were turned over by the subsequently useful De Name Escapes me on track debut. Probably nothing against the top two with the scope to follow in the footsteps of last years winner but can foresee something beating them.

Bobcatbilly won a handicap chase on bottomless ground in Haydock over 2m4f. If he can stay that trip in a handicap on that ground his relative class over today’s opposition will get him over any stamina doubts.

Well done telltheking with urano.Agree with you on the bumper.Iconic image should stay all day.

Ah I can’t claim much credit for Urano. He’d have been beat by one if not both of the two that came down at the last. I suppose it’s racing levelling things out after an unusual amount of ill luck recently.

Rated Beginners chases are tight races by their nature. However, After Aspen looks to have been well placed in today’s race as he could climb into a higher bracket in time. Hopefully they take his jumping on trust and make plenty use of him.

Today’s race proved too sharp a test for After Aspen. He is a lovely jumper though and think he will make up into a nice handicap chaser in time. Be surprised if he’s not heading towards 130 down the line.

Very poor effort from both myself and Bobcatbilly. Never got into a real racing rhythm and was beaten before stamina was an issue.

BWS looks to be on very good terms with himself if he managed to get Elliots matched early. Has taken a not unexpected complete walk in the market.

Have backed this forsmall money worth a dabble @ 9.

Wonks he is the worst horse Gigginstown have ever had on the track i would guess.  He might win a couple of races in the North of England in a few years but he wont ever be winning any races here off any mark. 

Very strange ride by Mullins on a plodder.  Thought he would go out in front.

Well done BWS never in doubt, and as for the inner circle  thanks again ,to have the info from that stable is simply amazing, gamble well and truly landed.

Mullins ride was average to say the least ,seems to ride a lot of them the same way . Maybe its useless .

It most certainly is very limited, as evidenced by all three of it’s runs. Slightly surprised Willie stuck those connections with such a yak.

Tell The King on hot shot form but he came back on saying Urano was lucky would have finished third,I didnt see that at all.
Urano won handy and would have won no matter what happened at the last.

Not many people's opinions you'd bother with on here but ttk always worth taking note of.

Think Dont Tell No One would have won imvho (even with Ruby strong in a finish).

Wildman the horse didn't go a yard until he passed Cliffside Park at the top of the hill. As Ruby said, no point waiting once he finally started travelling and he ended up in front way too soon. He'd be well known for not doing much in front. He landed about three lengths ahead at the last and walked up to the finish line. If Weld's or Nine Stitches got a sniff of him with 100 yards to go they'd have caught him. That's my view anyway.

Ended up only backing Terence O' Brien's in the bumper so the day wasn't as profitable as it might have been. Made no difference in the end but Jane Mangan showed once again how rotten her bottle is (something she has openly admitted before). Why she still has a licence is beyond me. Her father's horse Fiddlers Bow is entered in a lady riders hurdle next week and should win. However, it would be an injustice to the owners to let her ride.

It was refreshing from Charles to effectively admit to having it off on their winner. Makes a change from saying he didn't back Oscar Lantern. Don't know who trainers are fooling when they go on with that crap.

Did you see Ruby's interview after Urano won,talk about being frank.
He said Henry Howard had no chance wouldn't act on the ground,implied he was useless.

He's an 8yo that showed nothing on its only run and was being dropped 6f in trip. That horse was a million even without Byrnes horse. Not surprised Ruby said as much. Think the horse did his job today though holding up the early price for the winner.

He referred to that too,he said he might make a good 9 year old.

That was said fairly tongue in cheek.

Ruby seemed to be in better form today. Surprised Gary didn't query him on the Min drift. The horse is supposed to be working desperately.

I'd say Gary knew not to mention last fence falls.

Is it just me but has backing winners suddenly become easy this year.
There is a group of us that punt on Irish racing and we are on some run,I'm doing worse of us because I bet least often,the more reckless of us ( the ones that back in every race ) are flying it.

It's never been that difficult to back winners on Irish jumps racing. What I've found in the last while is that a lot of underpriced (in my view) horses are winning regardless. Think it's been a tough season for the layers. Take Mount Gunnery today. I thought he was ideal lay material and bolted up.

The only really difficult periods have been when the ground has been really bad (short while around Christmas and the last few weeks). Obviously the weather was poor at other stages but the racing tended not to go ahead then.

theres a good few of the books struggling.what with a lot of fancied ones going in and crowds dwindling..the days of clueless people going for a day out of booze and betting are few and far between...if a few lads want to have a bet its easier go to the local pub i suppose with all the comforts concessions and cheaper booze than courses,i feel the day of the free admission  to tracks is very close at hand..

I agree with Dan , in my book Urano would have won and whatever about Russell's horse, that might have had a small chance, definitely Nine Stitches had no chance whatsoever .
Brian O Connell gave that particular horse a shocking ride, John McCririck wasn't too slow when he said he was a plug . He did prove it in the Supreme that particular day, he went about 2 and a quarter miles on Dunguib and threw away his chance . Yesterday he made far too much use of his horse who had very little form at that trip, particularly on ground as deep as it was.
