Fair play Gant but the size of the crowd annoyed me a little if i am honest, there won't be 2,800 hardy souls up in Markievicz park all year, where are these people and why won't they go and watch the gaa code in Sligo. it's gut wrenching when i look at the facilities, the grounds but people will vote with their feet and that is why Rovers are so superior in all ways. Saying that i would say counties like Meath or West Meath can only dream of crowds that size at the moment that Rovers had the other night and it being a friendly match just, look forward to the league season

Chalk and cheese to compare GAA gates with LOI gates. 1 Championship Sunday could equal 6 months of LOI gate receipts. I do hope the crowds come back to the showgrounds this season. The 11 new players you brought in might do the trick.
Sligo would be well down the pecking order for sporting achievements so the GAA crowds don't surprise me. This new LOI team planned for Mayo might go ahead.......Every county should have one. |
