1-ran like a most average horse in what I rate the third weakest 4yo maiden this season. gelded since but looked average 2-all byrnes horses that run in these colours seem to disapoint 3-friendless in market im hurdle debut. jumped poor at times and wasn't busy early. may improve for better ground in summer handicaps 4-might not be good enough for low grade handicaps 5-gambled last day which was better run then before. well weighted. 6 -was running best run last day when ur. flat maidens hint ability. 7-jumped like a car but form looks dubious with odds of what was around him 8-won't be sighted 9-ran free may improve 10-needs to show something not seen. conclusion.. in what looks an weak race the top two in betting should be clear. with the 5 horse winning it imo.
Why was Byrnes horse bought so cheaply, only 14k for a 85 rated horse. Cradle mountain to reverse form with Swamp Fox. Race 2 Limerick race holds the key. Stuccodor hard to trust at this stage and Wp Mullins horse looks the obvious winner but not my price Race 3 Exit Seven up 3 grades and a weak finisher , my2 are Mick the Boyo and Courageous Cry both ew Race 4 Missed the boat here. Bet 365 went 20/1 about Gran Cavallo ,Blessed King looks most untrustworthy Race 5 An open contest, Goonyella miles better in over hurdles but I cant work this race out Race 6 Edvardo 6lb well in Denis Hogan has a contender as has Charles Byrnes , a race ripe for a plot with the form horses well exposed Race 7 some nice pieces of form on offer but if Sutton Manor is a nice type he will do for me. Happy punting

Looks a coin toss between Swamp Fox and Cradle Mountain, just the half length between them last time,Byrnes one may well have a quiet one but as said above looks capable off its flat rating, swerve for me race. Gran Cavallo on his point run is the talking horse, could well be a good one but with my limited point knowledge didn't seem to beat much. Liked Sydney Thompsons(3.25) comeback run, weak race but he made up a fair bit of ground from 4f out, might find one or more too good but at 8/1 ew/place be my dabble on the card,GL.

I like the look of the fav in this , and the betting suggests confidence in overturning the half length difference last time . 6/4 is beginning to look very good odds ( overnight ) .

Oscar Lantern in the 2.50 for Byrne's and Russell, didn't seem to get to hard a race first time against Bellshill and up in trip already. In which looks an ordinary race might improve enough to win, money has come for it also, always a good sign as far as Byrne is concerned.

On paper Oscar Lantern looks like a potential improver (and I'm sure he will be at some point). I'd be a little cagey following supposed early money though. It's a little early in the day for one from that stable to be punted.

Been a long time since Goonyella in as weak a race as this, even with top weight and being better over fences, his class should still be good enough. Just Cause prob has a few lbs in hand, judging by his CD 2nd to Seabass but maybe not enough. The fly in the ointment is of course the gambled on Byrnes runner, but even at best you couldn't believe he's within a stone of future Grand National winner
