Strange indeed joe. One of mine was "removed" last week. Probably the same tell tale running to betfair when things don't go his way.

Not read the book and would not have much interest in doing so, unless he expands on some rides he gave some Kiely horses at Christmas and Jonjo horses at Doncaster etc, but I see he has a go at Brave Inca owners from the extract that was sent to me. He is giving out about being jocked off, but was he not retained to ride Straw Bear when Ruby got the ride for the first time and could easily have been claimed by JP for his horses in future clashes?
I think it is Wildman that criticised the switch from Barry Cash in the first place, but McCoy comes across really bitter and with a divine right to be placed on the horse in the piece I saw. |

Thought the way he announced his retirement was brilliantly delivered and with a fantastic sense of timing, "Well Rishi, it will be the last time I ride 200 winners because....."
However, I've heard enough now and it has gotten to the stage of overkill. Think we'd this 4 odd years ago with what I think was his 3,000th or 4,0000th winner and it seems to have been on loop since with the cheer leading. He was probably a more interesting person to me when he didn't say much, years ago. I imagine his strength was something in his prime as well which I'd say I probably never quite saw (fully appreciated), really. That prime strength I mean as to me that was always by far his best asset. Never really been taken by his actual talent, or at least what he has been doing for the last 7 or 8 years. He wasn't getting beat on Brave Inca that year, though. think that was the last time I thought "ffck it, strong as a bull, what a jockey, nobody could have done that better". He must be the only jockey to win the Gold cup with the horse having jumped the last sideways. |

Must be something to be a legend in your lifetime. Must be really something to know you could have been had you not been too sick to play the game. Saw a thing on Sky with Harry Gregg reminiscing on George Best and how he was supposed to do a night's after-dinner speaking but physically couldn't stand up. Gregg met him at breakfast the next morning and implores him to "sort himself out and show the world the real George Best." Best just replied: "Too late now H, too late now." He'd just turned 52. |
