Report TellTheKing November 21, 2015 6:11 PM GMT
Ah stop now Easy. You are making a right fool of yourself. I’d given you the benefit of the doubt that you knew racing, albeit that you were a watery aftertimer. On today’s evidence you are actually a hypocrite, incoherent watery aftertimer. I am surprised how someone thats allegedly six million points ahead this year could be so easily ruffled. Spoofer???? Bluffer???? Mmmm????

I thought it was difficult to be dogmatic about today’s race. Supersundae showed plenty of toe in his Ascot bumper win last year and the form of that race is very solid. There were reasons to believe he didn’t show his best on two runs for De Bromhead given he moved stables mid season. The vibes emanating from the yard the past few months have been very good about him. Stone Hard looked a good horse last year but is ultimately a three miler. I discounted their meeting in Cheltenham as clearly Stone Hard didn’t turn up.

Looking at today’s race, I thought the combination of jumping debut, the trip and the ground made it a difficult pick between them. Certainly couldn’t have had a bet at the available prices. I did think it was worth highlighting that caution should be exercised after Callit sounded particularly sweet on the winner. Haven’t seen the race but, as it happens, the support for Stone Hard was proved to be justified. Well done to those that followed that one in.

Some of you statements above, as has been noticed by others, are utterly illogical. You had a pop and subsequently tried to defend yourself by stating that you don’t have views on horses that don’t have previous jumps experience. Only an idiot could reconcile those two actions in their own head. You also conveniently ignored the fact that the winner was also a jumps debutant. If you were any way consistent you’d have been chastising the posters who tipped Stone Hard.

It’s a complete red herring saying that people could have been swayed by what i said. If they are any sort of punter they stick to their own selections and aren’t influenced by what a randomer says on here. Also, the only definitive view I had on today’s card (highlighted days in advance) was that White Arm wouldn’t be mapped.
Report easygold November 21, 2015 6:24 PM GMT
No TTK, that`s where ur wrong...... punters on this site are reading every thread to get a help in hand........ Of course I have seen every race these well regraded horses have done and have a view..... But to come on and to comment blah blah ............ Are you related De Bromhead..... oh sorry Henry.....
Have a good look and see how many first time out winners Mullins has had in the last three months and have a look at D Brom.......

Even havin a comment on the race is just so poor....... We all know Calit.... likes a bet on the short ones.... but to come on a talk nothing about a race like that one is just poor....... So what whichever wins........ So What....... with so much guessing involved....
Report Roger De Bris November 21, 2015 6:37 PM GMT
You say now TTK it was hard to be dogmatic about the race but your comment was "it's very much advantage Supasundae"....

Easygold has a point, you had no bet on the race but could easily have put some who had a view on the race off.
Was Easygold wrong to say you were guessing??? I don't think so.
Report TellTheKing November 21, 2015 6:58 PM GMT
Of course I was guessing in favouring Supersundae over Stone Hard. Anyone that got involved in the race, or indeed any race, is taking things on trust to one extent or another. If pressed for a selection / free bet on the race I would have certainly selected him. However, there were too many imponderables for me to have a bet (as I said in my original post). My post was a response to Callit’s selection of the winner as I thought the race was far from cut and dried. I wouldn’t have made any post simply saying I thought De Bromhead’s was going to win out of the blue.

Easy I have no great following for De Bromhead other than I respect him as a trainer. It has been a trait in many of his horses for the past six - seven years since the Potts came on board that his novices are generally fairly forward. If i was backing Stone Hard today I would have been fearful of Supersundae. I believe the last horse of his i actually backed was in June so I certainly wouldn’t consider myself a HDB groupie.

Again there’s an inconsistency running through everything you say. You’ve seen all these horses race (so have most people) previously and have a view. Yet you posted only hours ago that you never comment on horses that haven’t jumps experience. You’ve got a bee in your bonnet about me but in your myopic haste to have a go you’ve tied yourself in knots.
Report easygold November 21, 2015 7:09 PM GMT
No TTK, guessing before a horse jumps a hurdle.... is a big no no....... U say u have backed odds on shots over hurdles first time out.... good luck with that.... 7/10 needed maybe 8/10 to make a nice profit no thanks........

Guessing is not good....... there are compulsive gamblers reading every word said for their next hit.........

After-timing..... I`m lost again.......... If I have studied a race I have no problem giving my opinion...... but I have no interest in races where I know I will certainly not have a bet on with so little form to go on. How could I.

Sure, Tony liked one in the 3.55... a race I went through to find a bet for 2hrs... didn`t like the Fav but couldn`t select a bet.... I had no problem sharing my view with the forum had I.

Unlucky Tony ,Sargent was set to hose up imo before simply over jumping and coming down just as he was about to go and win his race. The amazing thing about that race was the winner was the only one NOT wearing boots, Smashing looked the part in the paddock and won very easily in the end, Martins looked as if the run would bring him on a ton .Ended up backing Monksland @ 9/4 early and thought Flanagan rode a very good race ,letting the horse find its feet after a early mistake, Noble Endeavor will win when wanted imo.Roi Des Francs looked an arkward ride to say the least, ungainly head carrige Cooper did well to get him as close as he did.

I love the way everything you don't agree with is guesses!!

TTK is bullying me now apparently. Brilliant!! I didn't see his comments on the race until last night, but as he says if one has an opinion, I would be worried if what was written on here disturbed that opinion.

What would you constitute as  a star??

Sprinter, Istabraq, Moscow, Kauto, Denman.......or just a grade one performer like Dynaste, Hidden Cyclone??

Either way, saying I didn`t see a future star....... is very easy, the likelihood being a horse doesn't make the big time.

Stone Hards bumper win at GP at the start of the year had the hallmark of a serious beast, and I would be very confident in my opinion of spotting a good 'un when it comes to the NH. Granted a clear run, I say he wins a Grade one as a chaser. And probably as a hurdler on soft ground. Any owner would call that a star.

Call me whatever you like, your a yellow sort the like of which I have no time.

I would respect TTK all the more for disagreeing with me. What good is a yes man?? He patently knows his racing, especially NH. I would rather converse with someone who has the belief and bottle to launch a counter argument than someone that just agrees.......or comes on after the event......mmmmmmmm

But on this occasion you have to hold your hands up and say I was wrong, which TTK has done.

But callit loves a man who disagrees even if what he says proves to be all wrong on the day, so long as he doesn't have to give credit to Easygold.

Roger, i'm being fair here, not knocking Easygold as it was his opinion and in fairness he put it up beforehand which was welcomed.
The Mallow race that Tulsa Jack won was considered too weak for the Troytown, other than Tulsa the two horses which contested that Cork Nat, finished 1st and 3rd yesterday(given the Mc Manus horse that could be let off but Kylecrue did hold that race form up).
So when you delve into the nitty gritty it is impossible to get everything right.
It isn't Callit or TTK that is the problem with threads, they make them in a lot of cases,it is a few bit players on the side.
Report TellTheKing November 23, 2015 1:55 PM GMT
Roger you seem a rather docile fellow, a characteristic I've no great time for so I won't dwell on your post to long. If you can't tell that it was a tongue in cheek statement about GO'B's selection for the winner over Roll It Out then we are operating on two different wavelengths.

I think you'll find I have never criticised Easy's incorrect calls (and there were a few last week alone- the same as myself), especially when I haven't proffered a view beforehand. No-one is right all the time. Suffice to say I wouldn't have the self confidence in my punting abilities if my bank wasn't backing it up. You moan over two days, try going back over two years if you'd like.

I imagine Callit, like others, have taken issue with Easy's aftertiming. He has regularly criticised other posters after the event despite, as he freely admitted, not having an opinion before the event. There's a dichotomy that runs through much of what Easy posts on here that doesn't sit well with many posters. When challenged, Easy has also produced some fairly anaemic responses.

I genuinely wished Easy the best of luck with his selection yesterday. However, his behaviour after the race (far more bolshie regarding his viewpoint than he was beforehand) unsurprisingly riled various people up.
Report mincer11 November 23, 2015 2:06 PM GMT
