Anyone with a Betfred account, Un Temps Pour Atout is 6-4.
Think they refunding a small amount if a faller too. Doubt they would accept much on it, but if someone can get a few pound on.... |

I'm a massive phil's magic fan in that beginner's chase norn and 10/1 is a good e/w price. He mightn't be good enough to beat the 2 big gun but if they don't perform, he can take advantage. I watched him all last year and couldn't wait to see him over a fence. He should make the places regardless.
Present view is a big price @ 25/1 to come back to form in the big race at cheltenham. He ran a great race in this last year and 1st time blinkers might sharpen him up a bit and race fitness won't be a problem. Agree with callit r.e. un temps pour tout, looks a class above the opposition. |

Betfred and BetVictor offer better margins on football and generally on NFL as well. They can be useful to hold on to accounts for those purposes. Taking advantage of a bigger price on a horse with them generally will ruin the account for any other activity. Just one of those things that you have to accept if you want to bet on sports, but not everyone does.
First race at Cheltenham is interesting as the Nicholls horse has loads of natural speed and looks quite classy. However he was very well positioned at Enghien throughout and he quickened from the front around a sharp track. Fingertips looks a horse with more stamina than natural speed and he could well be very well suited by this test today. He was closing all the way to the line in that Enghien. Maybe Romain is a horse to back and have a lay in short in running, or back Fingertips if he is within striking distance and going reasonably well as they turn in. He should finish his race out well, although we have the unknown as to how he has settled in etc. |

Was keen on Outlander in this novice chase. Got late word that he will be better for the run.
Interesting contest. Outlander should appreciate the rain, and has always screamed chaser. I still wouldn't want to lay him. |

Nice performance. Second prob a bit unlucky.

I was very sweet on Sego Success for the 4 miler at Chelt, and thought I was on a winner jumping 3 out. He finished very tamely there, which was surprising as stamina had seemed his strong suit.
He put up a poor show at Ayr after that, but showed enough on his reappearance to suggest he can regain the winning thread soon. I will be surprised if he isn't 10lb or more higher than 139 by the time the festival comes around again. 9-1 e.w looks a solid investment. Had a few quid e.w on Rigadin de Beauchene at 25s aswell. I know Kings Palace has his knockers, but I'm still a fan, and in a race where there are more exposed types than in a typical renewal, I feel he can make a mockery of his mark of 154. His price seems over inflated due to the fact he has backed out of it a couple of times in better company in bigger fields. Of course that's a slight worry, but I don't think he is as one dimensional as that thought process suggests. E.w at 15-2, 5 places will do me. |

I was told connections thought quite a bit of Tully East prior to his maiden hurdle win.
He flopped next time, but they certainly thought they had something better than a 120 beast, so will be disappointment if he cant win off that in the 2.10. |

buywise has my heart broken..some day it will all fall into place for him and win easily..

Jonjo's in the bumper looks a good bet at 13/2 with PP.
Longsdon's french recruit in the 3.35 could go very well with the ground in it's favour. I've backed both. |

Hobbs were very sweet about Copper Kay prior to her hacking up last month. True enough it was a poor race, but her bumper form from last year would give him every chance here, and it is highly likely that she has improved.
A good gallop looks likely here, and that will play into the hands of this strong travelling sort. She will be hard to beat. |

copper kay in the bumper, she,ll be there abouts..but I think the value is the hobbs horse @uttoxeter BACCHANEL @8/1 e/w bet to nothing..big thing that was green as grass @wincanton on debut..they have give it time to grow into its frame..im hoping the ground will slow down the favourite and my pick will get in the frame.

Fleming’s hardly have a winner that isn’t well backed. Interesting whether the stable faith remains when all these horses step up in class.

Beau Mome went out to odds against there.
Be no dinner if this beast goes down ![]() |

19 runners.....down to 3 after two furlongs. No enquiry. Unreal.

In fairness there weren’t too many capable of lying up with that winner.
Annihilate looks like it’s going to follow in the footsteps of Tombstone. |

Some plunge on Copper Kay. Was 4s an hour ago when I posted.

She’s a very good mare. Had traffic problems the last day which mean’t she didn’t win half as well as she could have.

Yeah, Johnsons only problem the last day was avoiding clipping heels.
Fair performance today. |

After timing I know, but I place laid Pipes in the place markets in last two. Batavir for top 5, and Herbert in 3 place mkt.
Reason for saying it is they are all stopping at the bottom of the hill. Un Temps was done very short. Fair enough Kings Palace got a braindead ride(as did Irish Cavalier....did they think the winning post was at the bottom of the hill??), and Herbert was a bit free early doors. But they all traded shorter in the run than pre race, and none of them came up the hill. Its worth looking at his runners tomorrow, and for the next week or so until they show better signs, and maybe taking a similar cheap view. Tomorrow being best, as they can be over bet at this meet more so than elsewhere. |
|

The mare in the first yesterday stopped up the Hill too when she should have been keeping on. Kings Palace was fairly disappointing given the way he got into the race. Seems almost too obvious but something is definitely up considering this meeting would be Pipes target since July.
Think Simply Ned is nearly a good thing tomorrow if the race goes as I expect. He is a solid 160 horse who has improved each season to date. Impossible to have faith in SS and don’t fancy Mr. Mole around the track assuming a good pace. A reproduction of Simply Ned's run in the race last year is quite likely to be good enough. The main bogey is Brian Harding but the price is big enough to allow for his presence. |

Scoop The Pot is also far better than a 120 horse. He reminds me of how they started off If In Doubt for the same connections. As ever with these colours, market support will play a factor but he’s the only JP horse in the race. The rider is also decent value for his claim. It’s a very condensed handicap and basically he’s going to turn out to be the best horse in the race long-term, hopefully starting tomorrow.

I wouldn't blame Walsh, Coooper was very cute on the bend. Winning of the race.
Though considering they thought the winner needed it, and FE was ready, I would take the winner home all day long. |
