This 2m4f maiden hurdle features a real talking horse in the shape of the Ricci owned, Willie Mullins trained Beau Mome. The son of Racinger has been off the track for over 18 months since winning on his start on the flat at Paray le monial. In that contest he made most of the running and galloped away from his rivals in the straight. It was not ultra impressive, but he looked a big unfurnished horse that is bred to stay well and there is little doubt he will prove very difficult to beat, especially given the vibes that are going around for him. However after missing the early 4/5 about him, the current prices make little appeal.
The market without him should be interesting however, as Marakoush is likely to be hard to beat after his encouraging hurdling debut at Naas at the beginning of the month. He was reeled in by a decent looking newcomer of Christy Roche’s and this useful flat performer is likely to run a big race.
We will however side with an exciting looking newcomer in the shape of Road To Respect. The close relation of Road To Riches was extremely impressive when winning on his point debut at Monksgrange. In that contest, he sauntered home by 6 lengths despite making a bad mistake at the third last and a howler at the second last. He looks a real high class galloper and came back on the bridle each time, within a few strides. The form has not been boosted since, but given that the second, Bako De La Saulaie, has gone to Rose Dobbin, we would not hold it against him that he has failed to build on this effort... Road To Respect himself looks a proper horse and while he might not be quite good enough to beat the favourite, he should be very hard to keep out of the frame and he is also worth a bet in the without the favourite market when the betting market forms.
Advised Bet:
1.5 points each way Road To Respect at 6/1

snap crackle and pop • December 8, 2015 11:39 PM GMT As the thread title suggests, these selections are not for everyone.
But, imo, Big Time in the 1.20 at Lingfield tomorrow is a stonking good bet ew at 2/1.
another losing bet,at least the place will ease the burden

Again, this won't be for everyone, but it's a thinking outside the box type bet.
