I couldn't bring myself to back them, as hope we go through.....but I honestly thought Bosnia be about 1.7 or maybe less for tomorrow.

They fixed the stadium up after those Dundalk animals thrashed the place ??

I know you are right CR,narrow defeats in the WC to Argentina and Nigeria and the Austrian,Welsh results this year would say they are good enough. Still Ireland havn't done that bad lately and are surprising me,bitten once too often with them and will just shout them on Friday though i'd fear for them if they get through.

Just going to have a small lay of ROI winning - cos unless there are 2 Bosnians sent off I cant see us getting a victory away from home whatever about a draw.
|
|
By:
No chance of us winning lads, very hostile enclosed stadium they use now, not for the faint hearted,
We don't have the capabilities of pulling off a win in places like that imho, We did OK against Poland but ultimately weren't good enough, the same will happen here unfortunately, You can never fault an Irish team for effort commitment and bravery but that only gets ye so far, severe lack of quality in the team particularly when we have players missing through injury and suspension, who's gonna score our goals? Walters suspended, long injured, Keane no longer international quality, Darryl Murphy will be leading the line, enough said. |
|
By:
bosnia are far from a good side. but they have 4 good players who are all capable of creating goals. ireland havent got that so i think the bosnia price of 11/10 offers great value

What are the home and away stats of the teams for this campaign so far?

Will need 100% effort and hope to snatch goals at aviva, not a betting option though as cant rely on this squad
Will try for a 0-0 away i presume ,pity about injuries and suspensions, bosnia have a few good players but are not unbeatable on a wet Monday at aviva imo.feel old as i went to turkey for playoff 16 years ago and they didnt try to score until after 80minutes ffs |

Ye won't go far wrong with taking the 8/11 available on the Bosnians to qualify

Backed under 2.5 in the Spain v England game at 1.73.
England wont see much of the ball, as Spain will dominate possession and have them chasing shadows for much of the encounter. If it was a competitive match, the 1.83 on Spain would be massive, but also wouldn't be on offer. They rarely go for the jugular in friendly games, and will be more than happy with a 1-0 win. 0-0 is a big runner too. 9.8 Hopefully Ireland can get something out of tonight, a 1-1 draw would be a cracking result. |

Chelt, Bosnia are 1.8/1.81 for over a grand on here if you going that route.

Bosnia by 2 or 3 unfortunately ,,missing the little bit of quality we have ,,fear the worst really,,think Martin o Neil does too

Not that we could see a lot , but gutsy performance by Ireland . Must surely have a good chance in the return .
Betting took a very severe turn , Bosnia from tight 1.9 to over 2 not too long before the off . Obviously someone took a skunner to Bosnia there . And collected . |
|
By:
Couldn't be more happy that I was wrong tbh, let's just hope we can finish it off in Dublin now,
Surely a lay of Ireland will suffice ![]() |

Did I hear right that Glenn Whelan has now played more times for Ireland than Roy Keane?
To have such a limited player in a pivotal position is a big problem with the side. |
|
By:
played it safe and backed bosnia draw no bet at 4/11. looking back, it wasnt that bad a bet. ireland never looked like scoring. i didnt realise bosnia were so bad finishing though. so i got the ireland not creating much right, but the bosnia attack wrong. dzeko saved the day in the end but i was lucky. backing the draw no bet instead of win only means larger stake and it wasnt looking good when ireland hit 1.17
may just back them again draw no bet at 11/8. i can see this finishing 2-2 or 1-2. the dzeko goal was a sickener to concede and may come back to haunt them. hopefully ireland make good use of the home advantage should be a great atmosphere monday night |

By:
Thought Bosnia were very poor, thought Ireland looked comfortable not sure how there was 2 goals in it, people were raving about this Bosnia like they were some sort of super side, midfield looks pretty ordinary to me bar the Roma lad. Hopefully we finsih it off in Dublin.

yes rocket. their delivery was shocking. no end product. its very unlikely they will be that poor in the final third the next day. ireland will need to deal with dzeko and not switch off like they did the last night. need shane long back in the team to cause trouble up front. bosnia are vulnerable at the back

When you have a lad from Austrian league and a lad from the league of China i can't say it is hardly daunting

Any of ye Bosnian backers going for a recovery mission?.
Know O'Neill set it up as a defensive game on Friday but even so Ireland once again showed their very limited attack and really only threatened the once. Think that with the Bosnians having to score that makes them a bit of value myself, 6.4 ht/ft and a little on Bosnia/draw at 19. Srecno ![]() |

If you must have a bet on the game tonight then any bet that involves a scoreless first half has merit; Ireland will qualify if the game ends 0-0 tonight. O'Neill is a safety first manager and with limited attacking options in this team, his first priority tonight will be not to concede given the situation after the 1st leg.
The Bosnians will know they must score at least once in order to have any chance of going through but, Dzeko aside, they don't appear to pose too much of a threat up front. I believe both teams will start the game conservatively and the emphasis will be mostly on defence in the fist half. Despite our limitations and John Delaney, it would be great to see Ireland qualifying. |

I'm all in on Bosnia to qualify lads, wish me luck

ireland have been far superior. was worried when they sat back after they scored though. the number 4 should have been sent off twice already so was delighted his latest hack was punished with a goal.

By:
Bosnia very poor, credit to Ireland though despite getting a gift of the peno were well on top. Nice to see a good goal from play and if they could do it more often they could be decent enough, well done,a good win.
