Thousand Stars... what a horse

In a sparkling career spanning over 20 years, and in all probability the best jockey ever to ride over jumps, even by his lofty standards that was one of the best rides he ever gave a horse. It was truly fantastic and admittedly Thousand Stars is a great old horse, but Walsh is out on his own.

F uck it, Walsh won, just back in, he gave it a great word in this morning's Examiner and I left it. ****.
Best jockey ever indeed. When Nicholls had those machines and he was over every Saturday, I don't think I can ever remember him messing up. Big bucks would have a Hennesssey but fewer stayers hurdles if he wasn't injured that time. |
