Timmone into fav earlier today only for a late drift out, seems a bit mad how a horse can get backed from 8's down to 7/4 before drifting to 9/4 late on and no one has ever seen it run. Maybe in a year's time we'll be saying how did this one get beat and that the price was spot on but have to think the vast vast majority of horse racing punters bet something because they think it will win rather than because of price and this looks like another example of that. Probably can say that in regards to lots of sports but it seems more true of the horse racing punter.

Has there ever been a more confused opening post, the one thing that shines through is a complete lack of knowledge of betting.

Not much to see here.

Horse won a schooling bumper so probably got many excited and early money will soon move the price.

He has not been with Slattery long either and Slattery has not won a bumper since around the time Beef or Salmon retired, so slight concerns when some semblence of a proper market formed are understandable.

WTF is the opening post?

Horse was obviously showing something at home.  They backed it accordingly in what looked a rubbish bumper.  I myself backed the winner at 3/1(Do i ever lose??)  Horse looked quite green and took plenty of time to get into stride once they turned in.  Might pick up a bumper in England or a very poor one here.

"Showing something", "backed it accordingly", "Rubbish race", then i backed another, this of course is super nonsense Laugh

It was not until very late on when the big exchange hitters play that this horse went back out in the market, by then the majority of money invested and people who played had backed a horse they had never seen race and we going on the presumption that if it shortening it must be a good bet. It shows that horse racing punters are just a bunch of lemmings, people who don't understand the concept of value will lash out at this thread so i expect to see the usual faces follow wildman in here and have a pop.
