3.10 Thurles I haven't seen confirmation tho i heard a report that the poor horse is deceased.
Condolences to those concerned if true, but regardless of that it would be nice to read that some sort of official investigation has been done or is underway into the run of That's Nice. The market [hugely significant drift late on] and running of this horse raise a lot of questions.
I'm  surprised there hasn't been any comment on here: did anyone see the horse in the paddock or have anything in formative to contribute please?

There is some comment on it on Frank60s Curragh thread.

I thought the race was a non event so didnt bother even looking at them in the parade ring.

It was the worst maiden hurdle ever run in Thurles.

Well done Gagging on your thread. So unfortunate if the horse's injury proved fatal. Whilst I have every sympathy for the poor horse, I have ZERO for connections.
Here we have a horse 1-7 1-6 odd. By the off, we are 1-3. What does that say? Geraghty sets him off 12, 15 lengths off the leaders. NEVER put in with a chance. Seemed to get injured around the final bend and was pulled up.
The betting stunk. Hourigan should not be allowed have another runner for 6 months. And Geraghty....... Well he really is letting himself down. 2 months out of the saddle might make him realise it's not worth a few quid..............

Two things are certain here, the betting stunk to high heaven and also you can be solid certain Geraghty had nothing whatsoever to do with anything untoward.
It's patently obvious what the circumstances were here.

Don't think he'd have taken it if he knew that kind of carry on would be in the can, he's not stuck, his missus is a Doctor on top of e himself being a millionaire and highly respected. There would be no need.

Could see him telling them to send him to the UK next time they have another like that, though.

Market indicated that the bet was the second fav each way , place odds only for it were max 1.65 when it was a 6/1 shot with the bookies ( 1/4 1-2 being a 6/4 shot) .

Whether the tightened in SP of that ( winner) indicates disfavour with the 1/6 shot , or genuine faith in the winner will not be known until subsequent races are run . Suspect it might be a combination of the two factors .  The other 3 runners probably will never win or place ever .

There were 2 or 3 dj , Bet365 were the one I noticed as they are BOG , even for small potatoes . Average price was about 5/1  , but you could back it on here at 7/1 , so I guess the arbers were not active . A mate got some on for me with aforesaid .

There was an opportunity on the each way market on here , I laid the winner initially at 5.9 and then around 5 when the fav started to drift ominously .

As others have posted , race stunk .
