Tomcoole Lad 1.25 9/4 is an interesting runner, had 16 goes in points and didn't show a lot( one glaring exception would be a 4L off the ill fated Farrells Fancy). Now an 11yo he has only shown glimpses of form til his 2nd at Tramore beaten a couple of lengths, shone at Galway last time however where he had the race won 2 out and coasted home,Tramore victor was 16L behind. A nice story they have persevered and hopefully despite the 10lb rise the connections will be further rewarded.
Weak race overall, Fr Humphrey showed improved form to win at Punchestown 6 months ago,has to be a danger with so little mileage but with the break and that he got no further than the 1st in 2 of his previous 3 races i'll pass. Bits of form with Kileen Elegance, Cool Warrior and Galboystown Lady but poor and patchy overall, Neddyvaughan if backed could be dangerous due to go up 9lb in future (for what i haven't a clue),a race i'd respect his trainer in. Best of luck Tony. |

Grecian Tiger for me in the same race

The green and gold colours in the opener and 2.00 could do anything,no way could i personally touch them but worth watching and the market as well.
Back in the day when this place was relatively civil(785 days ago) i thought Knightsone was capable of a maiden and a poster thought he was next to useless(entitled to),both of us agreed he needed good though. Horse has changed yards since from Jessies but while with conditions are against him it looks as if the answer will finally arrive in the short term. |

wtf..was cooper up too there?..

Did well to sit Tony I thought, horse changed it's mind at the last.
Rock on Fruity on the drift. |
|
By:
Hi Pa, I didn`t hear anything about Knightsone, but @35/1 worth a few bob I did like him when with Jessie but time will tell how he is doing......... I`m laying Delgate....... cud be wrong but this fellow has never impressed me as an animal.......... holds a lot to himself. And that`s from day one.... The tongue-tie may do the trick but @11/8-6/4 I don`t mind losing at those odds.

By:
Asked the horse to come up, it didn't. Barely had a race tho. Easy...
|
|
By:
Hello Easygold, I didn't do Knightsone myself, if the ground was good i might have very small, i remember the debate with "By Purpose" and we both had differing views at the time,it was actually good craic and we had to wait 2 1/2 years for some kind of answer.
Know Rock On didn't jump well but Barry never looked like being competitive but wasn't beaten far in the end, touch over hurdles late December maybe? Best of luck with Delegate. |
|
By:
Me and you Pa... about this horse??
|
|
By:
I put the thread up (Galway) there, Easygold, Good poster was "By Purpose".
Tomcoole every chance, only one that really looked like beating him did and was well backed. |
|
By:
don't like this delegate..
|

By:
The 2.30 at Fairyhouse absolutely typifies the state Irish "racing" is in.
|
|
By:
Geraghty is shaming himself. Rock on Fruity ride was a joke.
The 230 was obviously pre-arranged this morning. Filthy fukks the lot of them. |
|
By:
Pre Fat stop spoofing. Rock on Fruity fell last time. They were always going to give him an easy today. On top of that he jumped poorly.
Delegate also fell last time. Culloty trained the other short priced horse so you could safely rule him out. I have repeated many times on here. If you stick to laying handicap debutants and horses who fell last time at prices under 5/1, you will clean up. |
|
By:
Had a (smallish but not insignificant) bet on Rock On Fruity near the off when the price was right against a weak enough field. He is a very moderate jumper and that's why he got beat. He's always up in the air and makes no ground over them. His mother was only a tramp and he's of a similar disposition. He ran on late to an extent but couldn't lie up when they started racing at the fences.
Rock On Fruity is the kind of horse that a trainer like Byrnes couldn't have enough faith in to land a major stroke. I'd say they would happily win a small race like today's race so that the horse might wash it's own face. |

Good call is right. Ran a funny race in Galway, certainly couldn't have put much faith in him.

ty guys, clever ride by Bryan there running the finish out of the opposition.

wow got that wrong..de bromhead wins with the one I didn't think would win..im sure some one put that one up lto?

|
By:
mug punter !
|
|
By:
It was me Tony.
Was worried about the bounce factor so only had a ton at 5/1. Also backed Elusive Ivy without him at 7/2. He was by far the more likelier of the two De Bromhead horses. Horses tend to get worse as the season goes on for De Bromhead and your one was on the go a long time. |
|
By:
He is starting to train his good ones with a little more patience.
Sizing Scorpion pulls far too hard but reckon he will win another 2 or 3 in a row if they let him stride on. |
|
By:
that's right bws..I remember last night thinking someone did..i got it wrong plain and simple...well done!
|
|
By:
Kingrat...... give it a rest...... Ur getting like the rest of the other clowns.... If Delgate had won they all would of came on board......... but they are still cursing Cooper plebs....

Irish Bulletin 10/1 is a tentative choice, but ought to win this off his lower chase mark if Berry-instructs-Barry to leave off the hand brake, otherwise have a kit-kat or a wee powers or Jameson. pa lapsy • November 4, 2015 10:14 AM ......The green and gold colours.....could do anything, no way could i personally touch them but worth watching and the market as well. 1.50 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle and a new race to the schedule for F/hse. Barry is of course at home in his Landofhopeandglory this weekend but a 4/7 winner will not be enough to please his neighbours. Alot of these could just be a Sackfullofdreams imho. 2.25 Maiden Hurdle 2m for 5-y-o plus. Eddy's The West's Awake 11/4 & Billy De Kid will fight it out with Sutton Manor and Ceide Fields filling the placings. 2.55 Novice Hurdle 2m4f. is only a four runner affair (just 5 last year) so will go with the Fav at the off. 3.30 2m H/cap Hurdle (Rated 80-95) where top weight Canny Tom 3’s, 4yo Carraigin Aonair 7/2 & the long absent Mossy Island 6’s will follow A Twist Of Fate 9/1 home, as he wins again in Fairyhouse. 4.05 Another H/cap Hurdle (Rated 80-102) over 2m. 4f. Middlebrow form has taken a fair boost with Dounikos doing so well after, looks a decent buy at £20k.
Williams horse ran in a good race and did very respectably but has a lay off now, still think he would want to be near fully fit though a danger, looks a great chance i'd agree for McCains horse. |
|
By:
Shocking run, valuation gone well down, note to myself never back a McCain Horse.
|
|
By:
PA handbrake ON MIDDLEBROW
AS FAR BETTER THAN THAT EFFORT |
|
By:
The handbrake most certainly wasnt on. There is a reason the horse was sold for €20K after winning a bumper. It is useless.
|
|
By:
Sound Norn though i don't think there was any reason not to be off today(was weak enough but maybe they knew what they had).Probably isn't much good despite beating Dounikos handy( poor enough field behind though they were destroyed). There was enough gap back to the 4th at Kelso to say it was a fair race and that was after a layoff,it mightn't be up to much but surely shouldn't have been beaten before turning in.
Hope it does a bit better in future for connections. |

A GOOD JUDGE WHO TOLD ME ITS LIKE DOWNPATRICK GREAT PLACE TAKE FAV TO GET IT BEAT/lay
BUT ILL BET YOU IT WINS HURDLES WHEN THEY want .LOTS SLAG IRISH RACIN BUT THE AMMOUNT NO TRYERS IN ENG IS ALSO UNREAL |
|
By:
Of course it will win a race. A 2 legged donkey could win a race in England.
That doesn't get away from the fact that the horse was sold for 20K after winning an Irish bumper. That's all anyone needs to know!!! |
