It puts things into perspective alright,poor family and a very sad read.
As a slight aside there are an awful lot of crashes involving foreign lorries in the UK as they have a blind side and the drivers are religiously sticking to sat nav.

Very sad case which was poorly investigated. The map of the scene of the accident looks like it was made out on the back of a beer mat.
Hard to believe that the witness never came forward until after the court case.
