Live chat answer time started at 4 minutes , went down after 2 minutes to 24 secs , now it is up to 8 minutes . Does no-one at betfair understand queues ?

4 bets all came up ( Younis Khan to get 50 ) . Wonder will they honour them ?
By:
And the purple site is in the doldrums , obviously becaues there are no markets on Betfair .
By:
Very poor service and all too regular, a lot of i/r punters getting shafted, one arrogant company with almost disdain for their customers.
By:
Yep down

Luckily purple is still active , and I managed a couple of lays over there on the cricket . Wonder will the purple punters have the ability to make up their own minds without Betfair guidance ?

Sure it was a single lump sum of 11k that went in at 2.02 on AOB's winner pre race in the first, lumpy ones were looking for him i/r there.

Is Voler La Vedette running today
By:
Never fear lads , at least the sportsbook is still operating ( I believe ) . So you can have £4 on any 5/2 shot you want ( but no more ) .

I,m still owed on her Arkle, did her here with 6 hurdles to go, i got paid on daq funnily enough.

After about a weeks hassle I got paid on Voler in the place market , the place market was unaffected as it transpired , but B/F voided all bets on it initially . As I say , took about a week before they realised some of us knew we were entitled . No sharp minds working there that day !

Harking back to that Leop race , did the purple market go awry in repsponse to the bizarre meanderings of the betfair in running market that day , pa ?
By:
I understood that most got paid but I'm guessing. Some of the big complainers went very silent all of a sudden and I assumed they were sorted. Perhaps not.

By:
The interruption may benefit me ultimately , I backed Pakistan to score 250 plus pre disruption , they are now 194-3 , looking like they should get there easily . I put in a short priced lay on B/f ( no purple market for pakistans second innings -- lazy lot ) , but the bet will be scrubbed , all markets will have to be scrubbed , possibly everywhere , its been an hour and a half since the site went awry .

It did Kelly, rather than the 28,s (?) as far as i remember i got 12's which as you know is typical at times of the way it works there.

That was a nice bonus , pa , as I recall Voler should never have been bigger than 3 or 4 to one during the race . Full explanation never forthcoming .
Machines are not always right , last night I drove over a bump and I got a temperature ping warning , with the information that the temperature ( outside ) was minus 40 degrees centigrade . All the other features re fuel consumption , mpg , miles in the tank etc were all fine . This morning the temperature feature was completely normal . Maybe Voler's ghost ? |

Surreal day Kelly, think the explanation they gave was some small time account holder somehow managed to have a liability of say for arguments sake 50 mill, there was so much up that even when they crossed the line it wasn't taken.
Other side of the argument is backers knew fair well she was never that price, fair enough but did her with a lot of the race to go and to get nothing was wrong as she was always some price. Robot gone wrong but fault with betfair that it did happen. It will cost some this outage today but it won't cost betfair except comm and that isn't right either. |

Yeah pa , unfortunately events like today screw up operations for someone like myself who rely on betting and laying ( same horse etc) , largely because the bookies have put up all the shutters so only way of backing a horse in via exchange . But if the lay side is not available ( or like today the back side also ) there is nowhere to go ( except purple occasionally) . So today is a write off essentially . Hopefully the issue has gone away , and is operating well tomoorow , I am in favour of an Aussie win ( posssibly easily) in the rugby .
