Killavullan Stakes Sat, 12 runners declared, 8 from APOB 2 from Bolgers 1 O'Callaghan 1 Oliver .Surely this massive imbalance must be addressed,what chance do the rest have when you see such dominence. Loads of trainers hanging on by their finger nails,yet the big guys just get bigger and bigger.Willie Mullins on the national hunt side of things is exactly the same,not saying its their fault for been so successful. It begs the question what chance does the 2nd teir have if they can't even enter a horse worthy of a G3.

Next season there will only be racing at Leopardstown and the Curragh on the flat with the minimum weight raised to ten seven and only Aidan, Jim Bolger and Dermot Weld allowed to participate. Over sticks, Rich Ricci and Michael O'Leary will compete exclusively in a series of sulky style match races at the new estate they are buying in Castle Hyde. All horses restricted to the care of Willie Mullins. Spectators will not be catered for at above events under any circumstances. Ger Lyons has been installed as the new 8/11 favourite to be Champion Flapping Trainer in 2016. |

Disagree workrider , i am very grateful we have such quality operations in this country , as ruby said in his interview in the irish field , no one gave them the positions they're in they worked hard and earned them , so if people have an issue with that well then maybe they should work harder and raise there game . This is sport , there is no sympathy or apologies in sport man up or get out , as was said on another thread i would not want to give up on the quality we are lucky to have for competitiveness . It is a luxury we get to see some of the best bred and most talented hores's in the world on a weekly basic and should be grateful for it as it would be a very sad day if it was all gone tomorrow . You know the saying "you never know what you have until it's gone "

Lingbreed I concur with most of what you say, I can remember the dark days when a good Irish horse was sold asap, I'm not harkering after those days, just pointing out how a small pool of trainers have such a huge pot to drink from,whilst those less fortunate need a begging bowl.

Race didn't end up too bad WR with 4 different trainers with the 7 runners.
That O'brien horse we were talking about is out tonight,poor enough runs there in the past so will leave her go,would have done her in tomorrow race. |

They are not all less fortunate.
Charlie Swan was given plenty of suppport but made a pigs ear of it on the whole. Colm Murphy was given plenty of ammo after stumbling across some very good horses and he badly underperformed with horses from the major owners other than Ricci and Wylie. |
