These are the kind of threads that should be on here. Some very interesting points raised and ones which need to be answered. Paddy is the most vile firm around nowadays, the reason being its run by people who have no gambling history but are more interested in frustrating any customer with a semblance of a brain. The message that needs to be got across to the masses is that if you can bet online with this firm or anyone of them to be honest, well then you are a loser.

I myself have gambled from both sides of the fence and wildmanfromborneo makes some excellent points. On course bookmaking is unrecognisable from what it once was and yes the ham man covered the cracks for a good few years in that area. But its the off course firms who are making hay nowadays and have endeavoured to weed out anyone with even the slightest knowhow, and retain all the casual miniscule punters who are of no danger, and who require no risk management. Welfare Recycling is precisely what is happening in every town and city in the country, sp shops have now become a place for both the dumb and the impoverished to throw away their money, mostly handed to them by the state. What infuriates some people and possibly rightly so, is the fraudulent claims and the lack of transparency that emanates from the big off course chains. One only has to go into these places for a half hour and see what kind of so called special offers are on the table. To name just a few, money back as a free bet, double the sp's, money back if some player scores, special doubles with prices that dont even equate to the current odds. Each and every one of them has a catch of some description, and thats the thing about the off course firms in the current climate, they have no scruples and certainly no honour.

I got a present from them. My guess is many other have had similar presents. Check the end of the "Successful Gamblers Barred From Betting" thread to check if you also received a "gift".
I contacted my virus/firewall supplier to see if I can return the unwanted gift.
