Identity Thief 2.35 looks worth following this season raced in good company last year and sure to progress ....
Captain Von Trappe 4.15 Another Giggy horse who I liked last year and thought had the makings of a chaser ....
Shield now heres a horse that should benefit from its last run,or should I say gallop, well looked after the last day and has every chance of turning the tables on the winner if wanted .

Good call Gemini , she is a very small mare, Patrick made her look even smaller. Done my pieces of silver today, backed Van Trappe w/o @ 11/8 and was happy most of the way, while not robustly ridden after his chance had gone, he is sure to come on from that run today and will be winning soon. Shield was very well backed and was shall we say, on a going day. Held every chance but the winner is an improver and may win again. For those interested have a look at Barry's riding @ Roscommon and compare it with todays .

I won't believe that until Wonks confirms it.  He probably phoned the bet through on Sheikh Mo's behalf.

DJ, starting to behave like a little old woman, putting his nose in were its not wanted, becoming obsessed with my every move. This is the guy who berates me for non sporting posting , yet his contribution re sport on this a racing thread is nonexistant. Maybe I should bring up his SPORTING thread about TOPAZ, anyone remember that little beauty . A thread of monumental SPORTING genius. You'd be better off putting your economic skills into sussing out how your mate Ozy can run a INTERNATIONAl business while posting on the forum all day, I'm sure you would be doing the Country a favour.

Yes Wonks I work for Dennis O'Brien washing cars.

I was referring to slippage someth I saw in the Herald earlier about Punchestown, maybe I was mistaken?

I doubt Don will run tomorrow , RDM looks as if he would be the one to benefit by his withdraw, BND lost his way last year after some very promising early runs and would be my idea of a bet in the w/o market .

Would be worried about the trip for him Wonks.

Think the only interesting runner on the card is in the second race. Sizing Scorpion. 240k as a three year old and off 86 here. They have kept him in d stable despite not seeing the track for nearly two years and races of 86. Would want to be useless not to be involved here and must be showing something at home for them to have kept him.

Willy I heard yesterday that some of Elliotts are coughing, the worry is maybe others in the stable have picked it up,so a watching brief is advised..

When: 15 Oct 15 11:28
Having just posted that have backed the Game Changer . Took a little of the Scorpion @ 16s And 3.3 for place Willy , finally had a little nibble on Fearachain @ 14 down to 10.5 and a little at 3.2 and 2.78 for small money to place..

Laid Mighty Concorde in the first.

Having shown promise on debut, and flattered on a few more occasions, its clear for awhile now that he is just a complete dodgepot. More issues than his trainer, he may come there cantering but will be running sideways from the last home.

I will put in for a low one IR also.

Big fan of Don Cossack, but feel he a shade short all things considered today. Have had a small lay.

Doesn't look like today is d day for Scorpion.

Mighty Concorde does indeed look soft.  He has the extra handicap of being trained by Culloty.  There seems a real lack of opposition agaisnt him though. These horses that have plenty of 2's beside their names rarely cost you much laying them.

Quite like Fearachain in the 3.20 looks the most unexposed of the fancied ones a few of which are running off career high marks.

Those that backed it down to 1.12 must be of a far more forgiving nature than me!

Dr Lambe should take horse and trainer to Aldi, and see can they sell them in one of their two for one 4 euro specials.

Willy that Scorpion horse is a bit of a lad ,reared up twice when the jockey tried to mount , another small horse, in all fairness he ran really well having run for along time with the choke out..
