THE BM returns after an absence of 7yrs to Woburn (3 courses). This week it's the Marquess where Justin Rose won in 2002 – undulating tree-lined parkland par 72 (7,214 yds) so long and straight driving is a big asset with the tight fairways, usually immaculate with great greens in Buckinghamshire, 40m north of London.
Past champions/winning scores and top 5 finishers at Woburn 2002 -19 Justin Rose, Ian Poulter, Phillip Price, Colin Montgomerie, Gary Evans (Marquess) 2001 -14 Thomas Levet, Mathias Gronberg, David Howell, Robert Karlsson, Olle Karlsson (Marquess) 2000 -21 Gary Orr, Per-Ulrik Johansson, Colin Montgomerie, Mark McNulty, Andrew Coltart, Paul Lawrie, Bob May (Dukes) 1999 -10 Bob May, Colin Montgomerie, Christopher Hanell, Greg Owen, Lee Westwood (Dukes)
2015 form: The Marquess course staged Open qualifying earlier this year. The three who made it through were Paul Dunne (70-65), Robert Dinwiddie (70-68) and Retief Goosen (67-72). 2011: The Marquess also staged the 2011 English amateur. Tyrrell Hatton, who reached the semi-finals.
Out at 12.30 Jamie Donaldson 6/4 (and overall winner @20/1) with Byeong Hun An 2/1 and Lee Westwood 2/1.

Another good 'green curry' tonite apple, with your 'BURLY THAI' again...see you had a shot in the dark on him before in Malaysia (MC) and in the True or False Thailand Classic (T4).
...missed the drama/playoff this morning...have to make do with second and third.
1st. Kiradech Aphibarnrat the 2013 Maybank Malaysian Open winner in Kuala Lumpur G&CC at -13. The host club for the seventh time (so think horses for courses in 2006 & 2010 to 2014, though the event has moved about in the schedule). Kuala Lumpur G&CC has also staged the last two CIMB Classic’s on the PGA Tour (Ryan Moore won both events). A co-sanctioned event on the European and Asian Tours with bigger prize money than the Arab purses of the last three weeks !!!
Kiradech (backed him at @ 50/1 in Malaysia), the 2013 winner as a 23yo - big guy with a big reputation on this course - third in 2010 and third in CIMB Classic in 2013. That win was against the likes of Edoardo Molinari, Victor Dubuisson (nb), Charl Schwartzel & Pablo Larrazabal. Aphibarnrat was T45 in Abu Dhabi and T38 in Qatar on his previous two starts. Nicknamed ‘Asia’s John Daly’ for his burly frame and go-for-broke style of play, he won his age group at the Junior World Golf Championships in 2003 and 2004 - and not to be confused with the other Thai with a burly physique, Prom Meesawat - The ‘Big Dolphin’. Aphibarnrat said: “Special thanks to my caddie, he was always pushing me. When we were two behind on the last two holes he said you have not lost, we have not signed the scorecard yet and he was completely right and I just got the job done. I had a chance to win in 72 holes but the putt in the play-off is the best putt I have ever made in my life.” The 25 year old has had a tough time since winning in Malaysia, adding: “I've been struggling for a year. I lost my coach (Natpasit Chokthanasart, who died in December 2013), changed my equipment. It's a big changing time after I won. It's been like that for a while. I haven't been at the top of the leaderboard but finally I had the chance to do it. It was tough to stay there.”

Very good event so far, with a decent leaderboard heading into Sunday.
Big day for young Matthew Fitzpatrick. He's a player I have really liked for over a year now. I thought he might have broke his duck before now, but he is learning on his feet and his Sunday performances have improved of late. 4.5 underestimates his chances today IMO.
Kiradech Aphibarnrat is a recent winner, but never really convinces under the cosh. Going out in the last group may not prove ideal.
The third member of that final group is who I think is the bigger danger. I became a Fabrizio Zanotti fan nearly two years ago, and thought he was about to take his game to a new level. Niggling injuries intervened, but he is back in fine fettle of late, and I rate his bottle.
4pts Matt Fitz 4.5 2pts Fabrizio Zanotti 8-1

Great to see the young lad get his first win on the board. There will plenty more to follow. He probably needs to beef up a bit, and gain a bit of length off the tee to consistently compete at the very top, but all other facets of his game suggest he is here to stay.
I wouldn't be surprised if Shane Lowry lifts one of the end of season mega money tournaments in the Far East.
His game looks in even better shape than before his short break, and if everyone had the same putting average last week, he would have won by about 4 shots. He was dynamite tee to green, and his usual brilliant self when missing one in regulation. He just holed absolutely nothing. It happens regularly enough with him, so its always a worry when backing him, but if it does click in one of the coming weeks he could murder a top field.

At least last week he voiced his opinion before the event was over last week.
Does anyone remember the tv show Early Edition? Tomorrows paper be f*ck all use to a clown with as little intelligence as this poor unfortunate. I say Dougal McGuire was his childhood idol.

Mate? What self respecting Irishman would use that in their vocabulary?
Good shot with young Fitzpatrick Callit, did well to fend off decent players there.

Justin Thomas worth backing at 40s for Frys this week. Like Fitzy a huge talent, but more of a bottle issue to be answered. This serve as the ideal opportunity to shed the maiden tag.
