no chance of getting much matched here on irish racing until last 10 mins before the off. seems to be getting worse
By:
More matched than i thought there would be at this stage, often for the smaller meetings it is just hundreds.
Better off generally WR if you can get on with a book with bog but that is another story. |

Which bookies are u restricted with, Pa?
By:
Haven't gone near a book really for 5 years at least,pp is okay despite the criticism it receives at times. Two that stand out going back a bit were fredbet and sj. Sj was bizarre as it was over Fred Funk winning Sawgrass and me not ticking the ew box resulting in multiple bets when it should have been 2 and ended up being 4.

I don't follow...why haven't u gone near a book for 5 years?
By:
I opened up this account, betting changed to mainly golf(about 85%) with the option of backing and laying.
By:
Ah ok, I thought you were mainly a horse man.
Do you not use the book for the concessions, BOG etc? |
By:
Betting on golf here is the best especially pre tournament and for trade purposes on final day were liquidity is good usually, also could never understand friends of mine taking say 20's on a golfer in the shops when 28's freely available here less commission is still 6 odd points better.
By:
If it suits yes.
By:
Golf prices on Betfair ex are much better then the shops Especially if you want to back an outsider, having said that its much harder to pick a golf winner, it might change for me if Jorden Spieth win tonight, 9.6 is great value in 28runner field, im not sure what price he was in the shops.

Pat Keane was saying in the Examiner that Coolmore are going to finish very strong. Is it time to start backing a few of their first-timers now? If they have an un-raced one they want for the RP Trophy, it will have to nearly win first up.

Twas the only one i saw Pre fat that was very near 3.95 at the time but i might have missed one.
Think P K will be correct but after Port Douglas there and Minding recently it isn't much of a help. |
By:
It was Pa , but never mind , had a shocker as had Moore in the Beresford . Backed it win and also backed it w/o fav . Terrible stuff from him , also backed Wexford w/o fav and to top it off was on Toes in the last...
...Pre Fat I'm sure your Fathers fingers held most of you and the other 25% remained on the book... |

Beacon Light obviously needs further even now, still cruel he couldn,t get up today, first thought was a possible future St Leger winner.Cailin Mor was my blue face today.
By:
Thought Callin was home and hosed tbh , mate had a huge bet on it as well ..
By:
Only had the one bet today myself......was also Cailin Mor. She certainly did look home for all money.
