Just wondering why doe's the national tv operator deem it appropriate to fly in TOM LEE and Sally Anne Grassick to cover the betting ring and interview jockeys post race, are there no suitable people available on our shore?

RTE really was sickening this weekend, the love in's were unbearable, but without a doubt the most puke inducing clip was the interview with Mr Smug himself. The way he was talking about Sheikh Fahad, i thought he was a Syrian refugee. The hardship that man endured according to Lyons, was simply very hard to take.How he dusted himself down and hopped into his private jet to make his way to Leopardstown, well that took remarkable courage, particularly after losing a classic. Also the way Sheikh Fahad held himself together to make the presentation in Leopardstown was truly remarkable after such a horrendous injustice. Lyons said the game needs more like him, i'd say Lyons wouldnt mind another like him anyway.
One things for certain the Sheikh wont need to wipe his hole when hes ever in Ireland, as Gers tongue should keep it permanently clean. |

It's fair to say that Ger Lyons is the best trainer of ordinary bred Two Year olds in the country. His admiration for the Sheikh probably stems from the fact that Lyons sold him a horse for 1,300,000 sterling having bought it for 25,000 sterling 8 months earlier. After a sale like that (one of many to the Sheikh) it is no wonder he was singing his praises.
Have you anything good to say about anyone. With all your usernames,paulie walnuts bobbybocala, donegal publican,robo, jimeen etc. I have never heard you say a good word about anybody.  |

I'd be more worried about one time it was rte sport = us masters last few days , irish match of the day on saturday evenings , olympics / world and euro athletics , heino & rugby world cups , wimbledon , 2 nights champions league , loi and a few others (not to mention la liga and nfl highlights ) . Now its loi , a few reserve league rugby games, gazumped by tv3 for rugby world cup and thats about it !
