I will throw up a couple of selections for the next few days and see if I can squeeze a few € profit from it.
All opinions constructive and other wise welcome prior to the races and that includes the "sage of the bloodstock game".
13.55 Nemoralia
She certainly has the potential to be a bit better than a handicapper and should be capable of conceding weight to all of her rivals. She seems to be steadily improving and her second behind subsequent group 2 winner (Ballydoyle)reads well in the context of a nursery. Nemoralia was visually striking lto at Kempton and although that was just a maiden, the third has subsequently won and the fourth has also ran more than creditably.
15.40 - 300K Weatherbys
Humphrey Bogart - has a much bigger run in him than what he was able to show in the Acomb when short of space at a crucial time, fourth in that Group 3 was still a decent run and would be surprised if this Richard Hannon son of Tagula isn't bang in the mix tomorrow.
Frankle Minus interests me at a massive price as was visually impressive winning his maiden but was denied any run recently in a strong nursery where he finished fourth on the bridle.
15.05 - Park hill stakes
Toe the Line is an interesting runner for John Kiely and if she is over her exertions in the Ebor. This 6y0 mare has been a real money spinner for the yard and has won a lilsted race over 2 miles. She has bags of stamina so the more pace on the better as she will no doubt be held up with exaggerated waiting tactics applied here but some of the leading protagonists do have some question marks over the trip. She looks a bit overpriced at her current 9.8 on here
Koora is an unexposed progressive filly and this step up in trip on only her 4th career start should yield further improvement for this Luca Cumani (stable won this last year) trained daughter of pivotal.

Particularly when the favourite is chosen in each race (Not a lot of imagination there). 4 selections in one race and two in another. Confidence is obviously at a low ebb. Good Luck  |

Seeings that the gotchee has tipped one winner in two years kavvie, its extremely unlikely that his pearls of wisdom would of be any use to anybody.

I like these threads although I am a non runner as I don't know enough about the horses.

If you would like to meet the great breeding expert I am nearly certain you will see him standing at the back of the Dublin Racing Club meeting this evening, frantically writing down the views of Johnny Ward as if they are next week's lotto numbers. That is usually where he is seen in Peadar Kearney's, frothing at the mouth when Kevin Blake speaks, but I am not sure whether the Mont Clare hotel will accommodate someone that cannot control their saliva. |

Oz, I know f all about english 2yo form, thats why I didn't fancy it. Had to be a serious horse to win a big nursery of top weight and turns out he is. My idea of a better bet about them prices would be Acrolina in the 2nd at Laytown, well in and should enjoy the ground in a **** race. AT least here I can discount most of the field, something I couldn't do at Donny. |

Don't think I've seen a 2yo race in England all year bar R Ascot, unfortunately unlike most on here I have to work an odd day and couldn't be arsed looking through the form of 23 2yos to see which ones are being stroked, how many first time in handicap were there in that race?
Probably rushed that post a little Mincer, DJ asked for opinions before the the race, all I did was give mine. LIKE miight have been a bit strong. I've seen Toe the Line run a few times, didnt think he'd be out of the first 3 exp on his last run. Farkle Minus, like you say, I shouldn't have liked but I was prepared to take DJs advice on a 14/1 shot, not a 7/4 fav. As it turned out, my 10ew double went in the first anyway so it didn't matter. |

I gave the Gotchee some credit and thought even he wouldn't be shameless enough to be posting so soon after making a fool of himself again.A classic tbf. t is a "smoke and mirrors operation" When Galileo goes they might as well shut up shop. In fairness, he is a good stallion but has he ever produced a decent sprinter/ miler? Plenty go the national hunt route and as you can see from the leger entries he will create a record this year for a stallion by supplying the most progeny in the oldest classic. Nothing to write home about. I would put most of his success down to the exceptional mares he has visited. 15.40 Doncaster -May Hill Pure Diamond There has rarely been an easier winner all season than this daughter of street cry, all be it was a Kempton maiden. She won by an eased down 6 lengths (could have been a dozen lengths).The second (Kasseopia) won her next race by 9 lengths so is not completely useless. It looks a weak Group 2 to me and 9/4 is just the wrong price.she won't be any bigger than 7/4 tomorrow. 13.55 - Doncaster - Flying Childers - Bear Cheek This Kodiac filly has bags of speed and will put it up to the colts here. She won a Group 3 at the Curragh lto despite running with the choke out and never fully settling. Total in running after day 1 Points staked: 9.9 points Points returned: 11.65 points (after comm) Profit: 1.75 points ROI: 17.67% Friday's Staking 15.40 - Pure Diamond - 4 points win @ 9/4 13.55 - Bear Cheek - 1 point ew @ 100/30 |

Really fancy Tashweeq of Gosdens' in the listed race at 4:50 tomorrow. He has travelled beautifully in his two races to date looking a real pro and while he probably didn't improve when winning his second start, I'd like to think Gosden was training him with an eye to this race and maybe even better things latter on. He's by Big Bad Bob (must be a stunning individual if he ended up in Gosdens' with that sire) so will handle the likely bit of give underfoot. In fact he won on G/S at Newmarket.
He ties unfavourably with the Hannon horse through Justice Law who they both faced first time up, but I wouln't read much into that form wise. The Hannon stars are usually strong in the market first time (despite needing it, don't think it was a star-studded maiden and he went off 4's)) and not sure this fella was at Ascot. Also he made the running, I know Levy was in the plate but it strikes me that Wall of Fire is just a horse and that they may be using him as a barometer before unleashing more of their better back-end types down south. Never rated Ivawood but it strikes me that they didn't get the latter part of his 2yo campaign right, didn't have him right. They're buying a different type of horse and I could see them being tentative and throwing out a few sacrificial lambs to test the water for where their big guns need to be. Haalick is probably one of the better sons of Roderic O'Conner but I just flat out don't really like or rate Varian. They seem to punt a lot of their horses and this fellow was only second favourite at Haydock behind one of Hannons' when he won. Haydock is an outpost for the Hannons and they never send anything any good there. If Haalick was any good, why wasn't he fav? Could see Gosden's going off shorter than the current 9/4 and will back him. |

I have to say that I am a bit surprised Pure Diamond is trading at close to 5/2 on here. No rain forecast tomorrow before the races. She finished lame on her debut but that Kempton performance was electric in a strong maiden. Saeed bin Suroor's yard couldn't be going much better with 20 winners from their last 60 runners. Godolphin target the May Hill and have won four of the last five renewals with White Moonstone,Lyric of light,Certify & Ihtimal. Marenko,light up our world and Hawksmoor (might prefer some more give) have crossing form lines which I don't believe are that strong for this race. Turret Rocks offers something different stepping back up to a mile and good placed form behind Ballydoyle but is she progressing much? I think the danger might turn out to be Gypsy Eyes @ 8/1 whose Newmarket's debut victory is working out really well. I just think Pure Diamond is going to kill this lot stone dead for speed. Anyone disagree ? |

neil, I'm not sure what Tashweeq beat when winning his maiden considering a 33/1 was 2nd and a 100/1 was 4th and both from top stables.
I would love to see the Big Bad Bob win the race but it is very hard to overlook the chances of Squash. If the form of her last race, the Group 3 Sweet Solera at Newmarket (a slowly run affair) can be taken literally I would give her a big chance. That day she finished 5th of 7 beaten two lengths. The horse behind her in 6th won a G3 next time out and of three ahead of her that day 2 were narrowly beaten in a G3 and the other was second in a listed race on their next run. That form looks solid and she is getting the 5lbs fillys allowance today. However, the slow time of that race is off putting and prevents me from having a bet. Good luck. |

Cheers Workrider, just back in the door and was listening to it on WH radio on phone in the car so didn't see the race. yer man Ken Pitterson was saying Squash looked a little small before the race Gotchee. I didn't know that but I guess it explains why she wasn't shorter. Didn't see the Godolphin horse in the May Hill, but saw it shorten and she just didn't run to expectation. Read on ATR that Bolgers will get 12f next season. Ballydoyle must be some machine.

I didn't know a whole pile about her in truth Gotchee. Yeah she ran fine. I probably should have picked it up through the name but I'm a sucker for the top 3 or 4 in the market tbh. Obviously they'd all be off in a race like todays but in the day-to-day stuff there's nothing I can't stomach more than backing a horse that turns out not to be "off". Puts me off big prices to be honest. It's a weakness of mine.
Saw hoof it won for Easterby today and is now probably gone up enough to get in at Ayr in the Gold Cup. However I noticed he was well backed when running well a few weeks ago and the idea that they would either prep him today for the Silver Cup or try and get a few pounds off his back when my money was down would ruin my weekend! Don't know if he was well-backed today but I'd guess he was. If I backed him he'd brobably have drifted to 20's and tailed off.... |

The Gotchee spends 10 minutes writing a load of shíte about the chances of Squash then proceeds to tell us he wont be having a bet

I was just making an observation Cheltenham, she had the best form in the race. As it turned out I was right to suspect the form of her previous run was not as solid as it looked. It's called dicipline Chelt. No bet so no harm done. If that is the only contribution you have on the subject,well it's a sad one. neill confidently, put up a nice winner who looks a lovely prospect. It's a pity you couldn't compliment him rather than spew a lot of bile. HGD
