Icy Reply hated the fences but Ruby nursed her got her confidence back and somehow won.

I happened to see that race. Anyone who backed that fav can thank Ruby for the win. Getting a reluctant jumper around was a task in itself but the ground he saved by mainly going around the inside until the last bend was crucial in gaining the win by a hard fought neck. Definitely one of the rides of the year.
Mind you if this horse can be taught to fence fluently it could turn out quite useful. |
