hi lads just asking some of you more knowledgeable on the flat about the 6.35 ..im looking at martins horse at the prices..his record at the track makes me take notice welds favourite looks obvious but weld has a poor record in this race.the favourite is far to short for whats its done imo..could easily be good enough but no value ..opinions?

Tony, i think wonks is heading over tonight, and he would maybe give you a valuable heads up from the parade ring.
Theres a good chance he might be able to tell you whether Almela was a filly or a colt.

Hi Tony, hope all is well.......... I don`t think the pace will be strong enough early doors for Dark Crusader, to reel them in on previous running styles.... Unless they change tactics, but I`m expecting her to be ridden the usually way (held-up. Lady Giselle may take them along at a sedate pace. The Fav is the right price on what I saw the last day......... but a watching race for me.

I found it a rotten hard race Tony, Almela is facing two stone better horses this evening, hard to knock her Galway win but 19L i thought was a bit flattering, she stayed on well enough but did lack a bit of "wow" factor despite distance. I honestly haven't a clue what she is but to win she would want to run to a 100 at least anyway imo,a fair ask.
I won't be putting a bob on them, but Ballybracka Queen just looked for a second as if she could be nvolved at the finish last time in her G2 til showing a slight trademark of hers in just staying on instead of quickening, her runs in premier handicaps are often enough for these races though.Lily's Rainbow might finish in front of Stellar Glow this time.Think that pair will be dangerous to Dark Crusader if you were looking at W/O. I'd expect Zhukova to get the trademark L R ride when two are involved.
Interesting race and i'll only be watching as well.

I will be surprised if Lily`s Rainbow finishes in front of Stellar Glow....... especially over this trip........ that last race at Gorwan was slowly run and the result is dodgy........ Stellar should enjoy the uphill finish more than Lily....

You might be right Easygold,no telling with the extra in trip, still thought she made up 5L on Stellar in the last 2f at Gowran, despite the difference in prices between the two,i didn't think it's a gimme for that to be confirmed.

a slowly run 9f at Gowran went against Stellar.......... the only dodgy part today wud be the draw for her not to finish in front of Lily`s  4/7 vs 13/8

She ran well Pa, I can see her win a handicap over 1m-1m2f in due course.....

Funny race, hard lines on Almena and my pre race thoughts that Zhukova mightn't be too busy were well wide,Ebbaya was in an impossible position just before turning in and rattled home, likeable run,the rest will struggle to get a listed.

Easygold being his usual, self, uncertain and dithering before the race, its only matter of time before the confident forthright Easygold comes on explaining why we are fools for not backing the winner.

He did give a bit of an opinion in response to Pa Lapsy saying Lily's Rainbow would finish in front of Stellar Glow, went for the 4/7 shot in the match and got it wrong.

im sweet on THUMB STONE BLUES 7.35 @9/4 in the bumper tomorrow..the form of his 2nd lto should he run to it could be good enough to win this race I think the extra 2 furlongs will aid his chances
