The compassionate ones are all feminists, have been championing women's rights for years.
Women's rights to them is longer maternity leave for wealthy woman and subsidised child are

These hypocrites have no compassion for Eastern European women, they are looked on as prostitutes ( punani in their language )
Even less compassion for Muslim women,no complaints about stoning or FGM as these religion haters have a soft spot for the religion of peace.

Ozy you have an opportunity to be proactive, go to "Uplift ie" and  "pledge a bed".

Just had a quick look Pa tbh , heading out , surely a wonderful oppertunity for the Liberal Left to show their REAL worth ,in fact I think its a wonderful idea and will save the Country millions .All that remains is for the floodgates of compassion from the Lefties , then its TAKE OFF . Doubt there will be many takers , they love to hear themsleves bleet , but when it comes to action , I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

I'm not left, Wonks, if I was I wouldn't be advocating a reduction in Social Welfare.

That's a great innovation, Pa, thank you.  Unfortunately, I cannot pledge a bed in Ireland as I do not reside there.  I will however make a donation.  That dead baby is etched on my mind, we cannot allow that to happen on our doorstep n the 20th century and I for am proud to be able to help my fellow man (even if he isn't white or Irish or indeed Christian).

Yeah, they probably photoshopped him to look even whiter.  To maximise their desired 'cynical' impact.

You shouldn't be swayed by this emotionalism.

All interviewed on radio today cited the photograph, they all had learnt off his name and all compared it to that other " iconic " photograph  from Vietnam.

One by one they stated how they were struck by the comparison, they weren't they used it cynically.

Fact is it has caused a massive swing in public opinion and more importantly political opinion.  A watershed moment, I knew compassion would win out eventually.

I see, Lapsy.  Bob truly is a Saint, I wouldn't be surprised if Bono took a small villages worth in St Tropez. Hopefully our other great philantropist, JP, will make room for a few in Geneva.  No doubt he will whisk up a few sets of GAA jersies for them also.

I will register my interest for one Syrian family.   I can put them to work on the estate.  My current staff are Romanian and although the housekeeper is pretty, they are starting to give me lip.

I think it will swing back, the emotionalises are just that emotional they will move on.

The government should propose a 1% increase in the Universal charge to pay for it,that would bethe end of that.

There are posts getting pulled left right and centre WR.
Wouldn't it be grand altogether if he was able to stick up some photos on here of his new family a bit further down the line?

Lets hope nobody reports you for homophobia, Wonks.

Will be delighted to post photos, Pa, but obviously they won't be arriving for some time.

It appears that the lamps have been lit and those with compassion in their hearts are winning the day.  Half a million signed a petition in the UK asking the govt to take more, after just a couple of days over 2,500 good souls have already signed up to take refugees personally, confounding the cynics.  The gardens of Surrey will be in the best ever shape by next Spring.

No.

If I had employed you as, say, a Footman, and you started answering me back, I would say my little Irish footman has been given me lip.  Nothing racist in that, sizist, possibly

It's hard to get the staff these days.

David Cameron now moving high up in the compassionate stakes.

Leaders shouldn't be led by their feelings, they should be rational.

You know you are in for some spin when he starts " as a father "

The same when you hear a politician say they are ashamed,as if its about their feelings, they want to feel good about themselves especially when they are not affected.
