It looks a takeover to me although as a welcome Betfair crashed just to show some things don't change.
No explanation,no excuse just treat customers with contempt.

When Paddy Power acquire a new customer they monitor him,if he shows he is not a complete idiot they start to mess him around, don't bet him, halve him,try to make him take SP,Betfair now doing the same.

Sportsbook has nothing to learn and restrict almost immediately.

After complaining yesterday evening I was offered €100 free with the Sportsbook. If they could donate it to charity it would be something at least as sportsbook max bet is nil.

Max bet is nil - Not possible to place a 2.50 bet when the max is 2.50 below that.

You don't have to be any sort of punter to get restricted from their Sportsbook.

Pretty much anyone that has used the exchange regularly was immediately restricted from the sportsbook. I know of nobody that can bet with the sportsbook to anything like the stakes that they might want. It's possible that you might get a run if you sign up on the sportsbook first and do not touch the exchange, but existing long term users never got a run with the new product.

It is no big deal as the ricks that are produced in their tissues over night would soon end the account if you took them, but a new customer that I know backed Faugheen and Douvan on the sportsbook (600 & 400 bets) and was gone after they were settled. They were hardly rocket science at Cheltenham. We used to promote betfair on our site, but no customer seemed to get a run so there was little chance of getting any affiliate revenue and the affiliate revenue from the exchange is useless unless you manage to secure a few whales and they are rarely fishing around minor betting preview sites.
