Was he a smallish man with glasses workrider?, if its the man im thinking of, he wouldnt have been any more than very early 60's, possibly less.
The guy i have in mind was regularly with Joe 90, and was always around the tote office in Leopardstown.
I actually spoke to Joe 90 in Kilbeggan on Saturday night, and he seemed in good form. I wouldnt say this man was dead at that stage.

Yes i know him, sad to hear that.
Last time i saw him was in Leopardstown on one of those big Sundays that they have in January/February. He looked perfect that day to me.
I assume he must have got cancer and it looks like it has taken the poor guy pretty swiftly.
Didnt know him , but struck me as being completely harmless, much like Joe 90 to be honest.

Nice to see a thread on THE Irish Forum about Noel. I knew him a long time and he was a particularly dedicated and avid racegoer. He never drove but managed to get to a phenomenal amount of meetings. Trains, buses and automobiles took him to tracks you would least expect too see him attend. He was a keen Tote punter both at the Races and at the Dogs. A one off and character he will be missed. May he R.I.P.

I think I know this man. Would he have hung around the old tote credit hall in leopards town. If you could describe joe 90 I might have a better idea.
