Apologies as it should really be the plate but Jessies dilemma has got me intrigued.
Think Modem won very well the other night and despite the quality of the field has a great chance in this, problem as first reserve will she rely on one of the others coming out (not sure is that going to happen) or will one of her other two not line up.

Not sure Deargdubh, doubt Robbie can do 10-2 though he may be near it as he did 10-4 a few months ago,no plans from her with any of the 3. If it was up to me Jack Kennedy's 7lb might be the call.

Jessie played it straight, unlucky not to get a run though it is so competitive, was surprised to see Robbie down for 10-2 , poor fella can have a breakfast roll now.

I'm hoping she'll win it anyway with mcnicholson. Good ground and a fast pace are his ideal conditions and he is sure to get that today. Very strong race this year but I feel he is a big price e/w.

Not a good one for the books for a change, Max Dynamite maybe a bit unlucky as he missed the 2nd last.

Fair play to Harvey. Quick Jack's last six runs have been the Pierce, GPT, Cesarewitch, County Hurdle, Chester Cup and today. Horse has been peaked for every run over the course of 18 months and ran his race every time. They also took the luck element out of today's race with the ride.

Same connections for the hurdle seem to be playing up in the 2nd last tomorrow,pp can't cut it fast enough, eyecatching enough run last time though has a few that were in front of him in this again . Not backing him but Martin with a 54 rated horse?

It makes plenty of appeal on paper Pa being out of She's Our Mare. Likely to be much better than it's mark. This market move is a pure cod though. Them lads are getting tanked at the moment. There's no way connections would sacrifice the price for buttons the night before. They would also be coming into line with the Boyles ultra conservative show of 5/2.

In the big race Harvey has set me quite the conundrum. I had a fair bet on Golden Spear the last day after a very unlucky defeat the time before. He was as dead as a dodo that day from the moment they jumped unfortunately. I have had tomoro's race earmarked for him since. The twist though is he also runs Artful Artist, a horse who has mileage off 88 but was a certainty over hurdles on Monday if he had run. Both horses incidentally are entered over hurdles on Sunday.

Don't disagree with the move being a "bit of a cod" TelltheKing, thought it was more very mean by pp as the lowest price then available 5/1 lasted 4 minutes and went straight to 7/2(3/1 now).It wouldn't take a great deal of imagination to see Tudor City turning it around with those in front at Killarney.
Very hard i thought that race even outside Martins,Kennedy is a good booking for Mullins, classy enough but trip is the worry,I,ll be your Clown and Shadagann in the mix is well, thought it too hard to have an angle myself.
Can't not see Tempo Mac not running well, penalty's are adding up and Rupert Lamb should in theory be ahead of him tomorrow, but think he is still on the up.

Quick Jack is a great advertisement for his skills and I'd like to see him backed heavily, or heavier by a major owner. He is a good enough trainer if he gets the ammo and Irish NH could use more competition in winter. He should get onto that Sheikh Joann, he'd love Harvey!

Don't think I've ever seen an easier winner of a major handicap hurdle in Ireland. Glad for O'Regan as well who has talent and pointedly referred to Ferguson but not by name. Quick Jack was that well today, he'd have won in Goodwood.

Just on the 1st race at Goodwood,PP giving up to E50 back as FREE BET if your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd.Just the 7 runners and you can almost discount certainly 2, dare i say it you would want to be a complete jonah if not at least getting a free bet, check conditions!!!

a good offer in fairness..

It is Kavvie, more so if you were going to have a bet in it anyway. If it applies(doen't say) to shops i,d say there are a few wearing out a bit of shoeleather. They had this as everyday but they were all very tough open looking handicaps, this is the exception.

the brains trust @ paddy power obviously think this race is a bit tighter than it appears to be in the betting and I would tend to agree with them. The first 2 look the obvious one's to be with but they still haven't won yet at this level and remain horses with considerable potential rather than proven performers at this level.

Watersmeet could be dangerous if it gets an easy lead being trained by johnston around goodwood and dubsday has ran well on his last 2 runs when finishing 2nd. I think we might get a much improved performance from hillstar today who is the only group3 winner in this field but has been disappointing so far this season. The other 2 I would give no chance to as you say pa. This race is a bit tougher than it looks imo.

still only 7 runners.leave out the 2 rags its a v v good offer.surely either or both of the  first two shud place at least..
By:

When: 31 Jul 15 13:39
Definitely a good offer but I think the first 5 in the betting all have their chance. I wouldn't say both the front 2 are guarenteed to place by any means.

Very good insight yet again Newsapproach,do very little UK racing these days but the fifty went on the Corsican,1.4 first 3 here, think he will get the trip and a good run behind Free Eagle, Connecticut could be anything and not sure of Dubday, needs a little improvement,Hillstars form is solid enough and was boosted  a bit yesterday, have to respect MJ's horses here as you say but the bottom line is a very good handicapper. I think the 1.4 is near enough all the same, returned as a free bet isn't everyones cup of tea rightly but still think it is a cracking offer.

Yeah, very poor he should have took the bull by the horns instead of worrying about stamina.

if he went up the inside(without losing momentum) he would have got 2l out of then without coming off bridle i think..

Very poor ride. You can't be asking these middle distance horses to be switching back and forth across the track. He had plenty of time to manoeuvre a gap earlier.

With NA here, always noticed how well Watersmeet travels and that must be a big thing around Goodwood.
