on the best horses by a mile in both races, they where going no pace early yesterday hence Ruby moving right up on the pace and that winner there stays well and will probably be better over further

Agree , but how many times has he had the BEST horse in the race out the back , no matter the pace .

Horses for courses. He knows there's not much point being stuck behind horses going nowhere when they kick down the hill. Big difference to riding in races at proper tracks.

I'd say there aren't many people that give him instructions.

So would I TTK , but how many times even at Galway has he kept out the back on odds on shots ,to early to judge if these are new tactics , just found it interesting to note .

I don't know but I'd be surprised if there were many occasions where he has willingly been more than five lengths of the pace coming down that hill in non-handicap races on any horse that was fancied.

What are you talking about Wonks? Mullins horses are nearly always ridden prominent! If he was to have a change of tactics it would involve him riding them out the back.

Where have some of you been over the years. To jog the memories a bit here are a couple of Cheltenham festival horses he has ridden - Champagne Fever, Un De Sceaux, Vautour (twice) and Faugheen. However he didnt make the running on Al Ferof, Final Approach or Dun Doire. Different tactics for different situations. RW is the best judge of pace around and he doesnt need to be told by someone in the stand what to do.

Spot on Bigwilly. Wonks, you really are clueless aren't you? It's simple. If they are wanted, they are to the fore. If they are not wanted, they are at the back. Get it?

This is classic wonky, what a grade A tool.
Tell The King is right, in  a non handicap he is never far away.
I bet wonky cant give one example of what hes talking about.
