Can someone please explain to me she has got dropped 9lbs for her last run? Quite unheard of for the Irish handicapper to drop one so much from one run. That's the kind of stuff the English handicapper does.
Normally at the end of the season the Handicapper adjusts ratings for older horses by dropping them 5 or 6 lbs. The additional 3 lbs might have something to do with the fact that this horse has run unplaced in 6 handicaps.

Good question as the norm seems to be 3/4lb, only stab at it i'd give would be she was given a 100 based on her 2nd to just pretending in that g3,that in hindsight looked harsh as the two main players that day ran no race.Last year she was struggling a bit in so so handicaps. It looks a fair drop though all the same as she was punished for running well early in good class.

More Irish handicapping queries please - how does the handicapper drop Laganore a lb for her run at Galway after already getting a very favourable mark which the stable obviously thought was favourable given the weight of money behind her for a 30k handicap at Galway?
Add to this that whilst the Irish handicapper obviously didn't watch the race Tony Martin in the meantime has given her entries for three group races! Runs off 74 today

The horse ran off its correct mark at Galway where it was brutally unlucky but all handicap level horses have been dropped a pound since then so Laganore was not dropped for Galway as such

Ye are correct. I had it in my head she ran out of the weights in Galway for some reason especially when BWS rubberstamped it above. Based on the RP result she ran off her correct mark.

Its amazing how the handicapper never gives the small owner a break like that, its always the gambling influential ones.
Hint Of A Tint makes a fool of him in Galway so he just puts her back to her previous mark, result another huge handicap win.
