I'm only looking at it on oddschecker op and it really doesn't look that bad to me with them going highest or joint in a fair few cases. In contrast the tupenny halfpenny betfair sports book whilst going 8 places looks brutal with yes just 1 "black"(2 euros?).

I wouldn't agree with that(shorter in shop)do you have examples? I could understand them taking "evasive action" in the cases of Lowry and Harrington as a fair few dockets will have them obviously.

Jordan Speith brilliant over the weekend again but surely that's poor preparation for the Open. He is halfway to a Grand Slam I thought he should be ver in Scotland playing links courses,he should certainly try and familiarise himself with St Andrews.
Ben Hogan won the Masters and US Open in 1953 and headed for Carnoustie for his first visit to Britain, had to get used to a different size ball but still won. He only lost out on the Grand Slam because he was travelling back to America when the US PGA ( then a match play event ) was being played.

Still thought Spieth showed loyality to the tournament he got his first win in,thought he did the right thing for himself. Chambers Bay might be enough practice in that "style" Very simple for anyone there anyway, stay out of the bunkers, the most boring venue in the open circuit unless it is windy.

Fife,i see lads on the golf forum complaining rightly they can only get pence on with bf "sportsbook" eg .62p on an 80/1 and a dizzying £8 on the 6/1 fav, that is my experience with them also that they lay buttons. Of course the propaganda speech with 8 places will be trotted out by them and it is a disgrace really as they want to draw new customers under false pretences.

Yea Fife thinking about it i agree with you the €25 each way isn't that bad an offer compared to others ,
its just the advertising 8 places on oddschecker and then putting in terms and conditions l find ridiculous. They should be either paying 8 places or not.
The cash back concession on losing bets seems to be replaced with free bets but bookies now going down this route with extra places it will turn into a joke.

Certainly seems like that Padlock and if "Metcheck" is even half accurate the late/earlies are very much up against it. Bit far away yet and the bbc are a lot more clement but the few i've done are early Thurs. Weather could play a part and worth watching.

Doesn't seem any huge potential advantage at moment, but Early Lates, do look to be favoured. 20mph winds most of Friday and Saturday should make it interesting. Thursday morning could be when the low scoring is done, though Thursday afternoon is hardly blowing a gale either.

That is fuc kin massive!! If he wins, I be retiring!!
I think Shane will be very hard to beat in Top Irish tbh Rob. The windy forecast for Friday and Saturday would increase his chances, and maybe G Mac would prefer firmer faster conditions. Wind may also see an improved Darren Clarke.
Stick a tenner on Blixt!

You will have to go back to PP's SITC . Maybe you are right in regards the weather Callit,i see one forecast for stronger winds on Friday afternoon than in the morning though still rather the earlies than late Thursday for a slight to fair advantage. Possible the early starters on Friday will have to contend with rain. Know Huddys like these bets and i don't mind a smallish outlay(2E ew yankee for near 6 figures) tilt at a big pot as well and also it is a bet that should have an interest in most groups if you are up there at all. An 4/1 top Asian. Bubba 16/1 top Us M Jones 22/1 top Aussie J Luiten 16/1 top cont euro.
Angle is they are all early Thursday starters, could well be a blowout if wrong about the weather but on the plus side if a draw bias materialises it would give them a great chance of places anyway. Gl with your punts.

Other thread would be right Huddys as this was about bookies anyway, thought the weather deserved a mention though. Starting to look forward to it now.
