Is that the height of it from you? Can you not create a thread with an opinion on something sporting? Another waste of space of a thread and a kind of weird mentality from you with your last post.

The better posters have nearly all vanished for one reason or another. Paul Wallnutt was banned for life, I'd imagine Snap is taking a breather and who could blame him. The forum is a crock of Shiite these days, there's no craic here anymore. The back slapping brigade are still around though , and they are the ones who have turned this place into a ghost forum . I myself like the banter, it's so much better than reading people's opinions , people that you don't know from Adam in reality . I wouldn't wipe my hole with an opinion of most that post here, including my own one. The thing is I wouldn't be bothered offering mine, because I realise it's not worth two Bob , but that doesn't seem to stop plenty here.

Paulie banned for life?..thats a shame if true......although I'd expect them to appear in some guise or other
tbh ....most probably preceded by a witless non-entity singing their praises.

shame to hear paulie walnutts has been canned for life, he was a live wire with an appetite for talking shoite about racing, he did have a sense of humour.

Paulie you are well able to give an opinion,no one wants to hear how Shane or Fran fecked up afterwards, tis history and near enough irrelevant as if they are that bad no point moaning. All that matters is opinions and not aftertiming moaning.

I don't know whether gemini01 is Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn ( he could be both ) but he is definitely attending his own funeral.
The much quoted Mark Twain is needed here.I don't know whether gemini01 is Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn ( he could be both ) but he is definitely attending his own funeral.
Pa, I think what was happening is that Walnutt was trying to educate a few people here about the merits of some jockeys and trainers also. Its not everybody would be aware how limited certain jockeys are, and how their riding negayively impacts the chances of a horse. Some people see it as negativity but it was really an attempt to be helpful. When Walnutt continues to do it, he is seen as a crank, bitter, the usual horses pisss. Only the other day I saw a regular poster, I think it was Dan to be honest ,who gave an opinion that Taafes horse would have beaten Tesseract in Tipperary if it hadn't run out. I was going to come on an tell him it was a million but all you'd get is a slating from the usual non entities. Tesseract would have hosed up in Tipperary, Taafes horse is no good, and it will be proven tonight.

not sure taaffes is no good mincer..but your spot on with your view on the race imo...
look forums go up and down in popularity , lots of good knowledgeable people still give their opinion on here..thats always been the main reason people look in and to pass comment,..if you disagree with a opinion, fine explain why take it from there, its when the belittling starts and the im better than you crap starts..but I suppose there will always be some of that on a forum.. I would like others opinion on the 9pm last night, sharks horse won pulling double, I backed prickly, the ride the horse was given puzzled me, seemed to be pulling?and although it would never of beaten the winner do some agree the jockey was poor?

Why would anyone slate you for giving an opinion,I welcome it.
I think Tesseract is decent and I thought the Taaffe horse was going better when he ran out,I backed Roconga in Bellewstown on the strength of it. I was also going to back him today but am having second thoughts, although I always have problems backing anything from that stable.
I wish you had told me at the time could have saved me money.

Tony there was a distinct ding dong from Prickly last night.
Huge ground concerns for Hidden Cyclone which forced him out to 3/1 but once the whiff arrived over Prickly those ground concerns evaporated and he was hammered into 15/8.

I myself backed prickly last night, and I agree with you Tony, the jockey was shocking on it, getting no cover and allowing it to run freely. Thought he was poor on Roconga also in Bellewstown,he more or less let O Briens daughter do as she pleased. In both cases neither horse he rode was nowhere near good enough, but his tactics were awful and its easy to see why he didn't make it as a pro, and why he still claims 5 pounds. Must admit I thought he was great value for 5lb, but on the evidence of those 2 races, im beginning to wonder. The reason the money came for hidden cyclone Dan, is that he had reached his maximum price, considering that he was 5/4 when they priced the race originally, and the fact that paddock watchers were after establishing that he didn't need the run.

thanks for the reply mincer I agree the jockey gave the horse no chance..i also thought his claim would be decisive but if you don't have the horse in the right place and fight it for half the race..you have no chance, I was thinking I may have been a touch harsh but watched it again..its a bad ride..
