will he run?theres no doubt this horse needs some cut to be seen to his best unless the track gets rain I carnt see them running him?i want to back him and as I post you can take 11/4? for me hes the best horse in the race but with ground worrys im not sure they,ll let him take his chance...I can only hope the rain comes..

Trip to Paris could very easily have won last time if he had got a clear run.
Vent De Force benefited from an excellent ride and the run of the race, while Trip to Paris could not get a run until it was too late. It is subjective, but I think he was the best horse in the race the last day. The ground might be a slight issue for the favourite but I will be surprised if it is a big inconvenience to him. |

the horse has won on good to yielding, heavy,he would never have encounted ground this fast?i think it,ll be a gamble if he runs. |

It is not much of a gamble running a gelding in a Group 1 race that has been the aim all year.
His sire gets plenty of runners that act on good/fast ground. They have also watered and should have taken the sting out of the ground. It would be idiotic not to run and I think it is all a fuss about nothing. |

He was always 1.01 to run.
DKW up to his usual antics, trying get a bit extra water lobbed on by threatening to pull out the star performer. Personally, I have had a doubt about FR for this since Galway. I do think he needs softer to show his best, yet he shows too much speed to stay 2m4f in soft ground. Equally, on good to firm, I don't think he will produce his best. He hits the ground very hard. He has every chance, but having been backing Mizzou from 12s down, my faith remains undimmed. I think he will outstay the jolly. |

Tony, whatever about Welds decision, surely if you have ground reservations about him and serious ones by the sounds of it....you cant be backing him??

Really like Kingfisher in this, his latest at Leopardstown and in particular his Irish Derby run suggests to me he will stay. He has a great jock on board who can judge pace and he will like the ground. His trainer is also magnificent at getting them right for this, he might not have quite as nice a profile as Age of Aquarius but I feel they might be similar horses.

Callit, I was at Pontefract last year when Mizzow won his maiden got 1/1 , I have NEVER seen rain like it came down that day, it was unreal the amount that hit the track and turned it into a lake, he looked beat before coming back on the bridle and won going away , I would be a little worried about the ground for him today.

A baby last year and raced very lazily.
Every chance that he won despite the conditions at Pontefract that day or was simply much the best horse and his class helped him cope with it. He has improved leaps and bounds on much less testing conditions since then, so the ground does not look to be an issue? |

I think plascasach is a cert in the ribblesdale today. None of the other fillies apart from curvy look like they will be top class. As long as she settles over the longer trip, she should win.
The ground has to be a massive concern for forgotten rules. By all accounts, it is rattling and my guess would be that they will pull him out after smullen rides in the 2nd race. I'm in the mizzou camp also. Looks a strong improver and was very impressive in the sagaro. |

It is doing the winner a disservice to focus on how unlucky a horse might have been. He was finishing alright but winner was just being pushed out. |

Second with Francesco (must get him putting lessons ffs), T4 for PHIL but woulda coulda shoulda - It’s actually surprising Callit that he hasn’t won here, T5 for LEHMAN as Maggert wins in play-off, Justin THOMAS misses out by a shot, Bohn two shy as Pablo also disappoints on his home course and for my few 'dream trebles' with Rory, JFK still running but Forgotten Rules did not let me down - Roll on Royal Ascot. Third will do |
