I just had a look at Able friend and Solow form on You tube for this race and what a great race awaits us,.. Paddy Power are returning your stake[ as a free bet] if your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd in this race, its hard to see beyond these 2 great horses finishing out of the 1st 3.

I know absolutely nothing about these horses.

I watched SOLOWS last race and based purely on visual impression I believe he will take some beating. There was a certain wow factor in that run I felt so if ABLE FRIEND or any of the others (I dont think NIGHT OF THUNDER is totally out of it) can beat this fav then they are exceptional animals.

I like the trainer angle too, he knows what it takes and his last run was also on a  straight course, thats another worry i have about Able Friend as hes been running at the same track with turns.

Again I admit I know nothing about either but sometimes u see something and lets face it,  we can often look at form for hours and we usually miss the winner anyway.

SOLOW Win

I have to say, I wasn't overly impressed with Solow last win as regards this assignment. Looks like a beast that takes a bit of time to hit full stride, and will prove best at 10furlongs.

Admittedly it is very hard to equate the form, and Able Friend has more adversity to overcome travel wise, but at the prices I would certainly prefer to be with him. If it was in Able Friends back yard over 8 fur, I have little doubt who would win.

For those looking to be with Solow I would think getting with him two down may be the time to do it. He may indeed be good enough to win regardless of trip, but may look in trouble initially when they really get racing.

Able Friend could be anything but the percentage call is that it won't win, Sha Tin is a khazi track with khazi racing, so it mightn't be too hard to rack up a sequence over there. Maybe he will win but it's more likely he won't even be placed

What are your views on where the pace is going to come from? Surely a slowly run race will count against Solow...

The outsider will lead at a steady pace, Hughes will take up the running 3 out with a pace injection.

It wont be run at a mad pace but a lot of these horses are keen in their races so I think its gonna force the hand of a few.

I'll be honest the straight course is playing a part in my selection and i think Solow will trade bigger i-r before sprinting to the lead and winning cosily.

As I said i'm not pretending to know about the horse, tbh i saw enough in his last race, his race winning move was that of an exceptional horse. Reminded me of Frankels when he rounded the field on the home turn in Royal Lodge.

It is one of if not the stiffest miles in the Uk indeed ILWAB. Toronado looked like it was going to piss up in it last year before kind of falling in, should suit NoT and Sollow. HK horse renowned for its turn of foot, they tracks over there are easy finishing I assume.

The stiff straight track will ensure a win for the French raider, its not rocket science fellers.

1 SOLOW
2 NOT
3 TOORMORE

I see travel/track/pace not suiting AF, and perfor11mances aside, how many times have we seen average Euro horses go over there and win g1.

No hiding place tomorrow, I see him coming under pressure, floundering and unable to place. Ive been wrong before mind but I'm all about strong opinions and i like to give mine pre race when possible, lets see.
