Not the greatest fields this week,it's going to be the calm before the U.S. Open next week,il start of in America were Dustin Johnson stands out in a weak field,has been playing some super golf this year since his enforced break,has shown his liken for this course we're he has won before,the price is short but I'd rather back a 6/1 winner instead of a few outsiders,
Now onto Europe were its another event with a weaken field,like America I can't see beyond the favourite Weiesberger who has outstanding form at this event,was unlucky not to win in the Irish open,
Usually I wouldn't back the fav in both events and leave it at that,but this week I will be shocked if both arnt challenging come Sunday,

Billy Horschel 18/1
Usually reserves best form for the 2nd half of the season and has hit form last 3 weeks with top 20 finishes every weeks. Good course form also.
Jamie Donaldson 40/1
Course debutants have strong record here and Donaldson is the highest class one this week imo. Excellent T8 @ Sawgrass on last appearance.
Jason Bohn 60/1
Tends to fare well @ courses where length is not important and no suprise he has a strong record in this event. In excellent form last couple of weeks also.
Matt Every 80/1
GIR and scrambling very important this week which will suit Every. Finished T3 here last year also and that will not faze him as he defended @ Bay Hill.
Will Wilcox 90/1
Scores well in 3 key stats this week in GIR, scrambling and Par 3 performance. Has done well since joining PGA tour including 2 top 10 finishes.

Each to their own but Dustin Johnson is a shocking price for me cant believe people would back him at 6/1.
He's the biggest clown on tour and nearly always find a way to play himself out of a winning position.
I'd want a five shot lead standing on the last and I still wouldn't be counting the money.

Still struggling to understand how I lost money on last weeks fare. Thought I had it pretty much wrapped up through the first 3 days. Rose and a slice of a place on Jimbo seemed very scant return.
Onwards to this week, I think Billy Horschel will take a lot of beating in the St. Jude.
Playing himself nicely into form, and someone who when he gets hot, stays hot. Ideally suited to this venue, I expect a very bold showing. Indeed I would make him fav over DJ. I couldn't fathom the early 6s on him. Yes he is a class act, but not someone I would want to be backing at such cramped odds given his wins to runs ratio. Had a bit extra on Billy as was so sweet on him.
With DJ making the market, Phil Mickleson was also worth getting stuck into. Phils record in the week before majors is excellent. Of late he has also improved drastically from his first week off a min break. Phil is someone who thrives on confidence and being in contention. He will a win here as the best possible preparation for his ultimate goal left on golf.
When Sporting Life put up Colt Knost yesterday, I was forced to make the trip to PP earlier than expected. The price predictably collapsed soon after. 150s with 6 places was huge value on this form horse. Last weeks missed cut can be a blessing. I also sold him on the spreads at 51.
G Mac has not had a great year, but showed signs in Ireland, and to my eye was a little unlucky on a few occasions, and would upgrade his performance. He is on record as saying how much this course fits his eye. In a relatively weak field. he can outperform his odds.
Carl Petersson, Ben Crane and Luke Donald completed the staking plan.

Bernd Wiesberger may not be for everyone at 11-2, but given his current form, his course form, and undoubted class edge over the rest of the field, I cant for the life of me see him not at least repaying e.w support.

Richie Ramsay looks an excellent bet at 2-1 for tomorrows 3 ball against Bourdy and Bello.
Firm fav for it in round one, he had a disappointing first day, but finished well and will hopefully take up from where he left off.
Bourdy is not the type to drive on with a lead, and I would favour Ramsay over Bello. I would make him 11-8.
