Mo Farah Had Help.

I think it was Janet Evans that wildman fired the accusations at when I first joined him in a discussion on here. That proved to be well wide of the mark. He is correct re Smith but nobody believes she was innocent and very few are proud of her achievements.

The Farah case will be very interesting as he was a promising athlete in the first years of his career but showed abnormal improvement when he relocated to Portland. He could simply be improving his coach like when when Murray dropped tennis legend Mark Petchey but it does warrant a look at.

It reminds me of Christie who was around for years before breaking through in a 200m in 21.11 or something like that indoors. The level of improvement he showed after that was ridiculous at his stage of his career, yet he seems to have pretty much escaped too much investigation despite being involved in Calvin Smith's gold medal winning display in Seoul in 88.

Farah is surely guilty as sin himself.

What clean athlete wants to work with a corrupt coach?? And it is nigh on unbelievable that he wouldn't have known.

I expect Mo Farah will suddenly be 'Kenyan' again in the British media!!

I won't get involved in the looks debate but its fascinating to see wildman talking about twisted logic.In his attempt to justify his letter of the law not guilty position he tries to incriminate every Olympic medal winner without any shred of evidence.

No evidence against the East Germans.
No evidence against the Russians.
No evidence against all the American athletes who failed drug tests that got hushed up.

The Olympics were similar to the Tour De France,you didnt count without some help.

Think you'll find the key word in my post was "every".

In spite of tampering with a drug test and producing mind boggling time improvement relatively late in her career Michelle Smith comes out smelling of roses in Wildman's world.

Those people who toiled fairly over many years are tarred by Wildman's assertion that all Olympic medal winners had some help.

Yet he accuses others of twisted logic!!

I've seen prettier things come out of the back of a Horse.

RQ, its hard to quantify how good/great someone is when you know they are taking 'helpers'.

Yes the majority of athletes/cyclists may be on something, but it is very hard to put any of them up as the 'greatest' anything, when they hadn't even the own self belief to try it clean.

Kelly there is no such thing as a cure for Most Serious Addictions, only through programmes can man keep the Addiction at bay,i knew a man who drank himself to death after being off the drink for 17years,.. take a walk around our Capital city and you will see plenty of evidence where addictions are concerned. The pain in Kenny Sansom eyes is there for all to see.
