Nordea Masters.
Stenson is a deserved fav. but I can leave him win at 9/2. Kiridech Aphibarnrat is still available @ 66/1 on SB here. Since his win in China he has had a few iffy tournaments. RCD and Mauritious were not going to suit his sometimes wayward driving. He did post a respectable T30 in Wentworth in between. Back on a more open course like PGA National should bring him back in the fold. 33/1 - 40/1 was my thinking so 66/1 looks very generous. Alex Levy is another that caught the eye. Memorial Bill Haas 33/1 2 T10s last couple of years. Harris English 100/1 Lack of course experience is a worry but his game is looking very good atm. Rory Sabbatini 100/1 went close here a couple of years ago and has been playing well last couple of months, dare I say it with a more carefree attitude. GL all. |

Delighted for you Kjeldsen did the business for you last week Callit, nice write up as ever, laid Stenson for the top 5, g/luck
|
|
By:
Thanks Frank.
Think Jaidee a good bet in Stensons 3 ball tomorrow. Kjeldsen will surely struggle to re produce last weeks effort so quickly, under vastly different cicumstances. And Stenson has been slow to warm up of late, even in the tournaments he has done well in. The 370 on BVP on here is feckin massive. |

Another great week ahead in America, first selection is Dustin Johnson who seem a very fair price at 14/1,dustin been playing some super golf this year, was right in the hunt last week til an 8 killed his challenge, will be very surprised if he's not up challenging come Sunday evening,
Second selection is the great man TIger Woods, how could you not back him e/w 28/1 6 places on a course that he knows like the back of his hand, slightly bigger elsewhere but only paying 5 places,on another note about TIger it was good to see his old caddie Williams saying the rumours about TIger taking performance enhancing drugs is complete rubbish, Now onto the Noren open were I've backed A Noran at 20/1, Selection, D Johnson 14/1 e/w T Woods 28/1e/w Europe A Noren 20/1 e/w, Also done small permed e/w doubles |

Excellent fare this week in the states, on of the best tournaments on tour.
Justin Rose 20/1 Rose looks a fairly obvious pick this week. Excellent form at the course as callit states, already won this year and should be refreshed after a couple weeks of a break. Billy Horschel 50/1 GIR crucial at this course and that will suit Horschel to a tee. Hints of a return to form last couple of weeks. Russell Henley 66/1 Streaky player in decent form last few weeks and suited by course wit a T6 here 2 years ago. Ben Martin 80/1 Another man who excels with irons when on form and could go close if hits top form. Matt Jones 150/1 In good form earlier in the year before a few disappointments but market has over reacted a bit imo. Finished T6 here only a few years ago. GL. |

Mikko Ilonen won Nordea Masters before;not bad value at 90/1[needs to get back to last years form]
|

I must be nuts but backing tiger at 40
Horschel and reed also Blixt and bob karlsson in euro |
|
By:
Wanted to back Tiger myself padlock, but just cant see him making few enough errors to contend this week. Hopefully he does show some sparkle though, and give hope for US Open.
Added Patrick Reed as feel playing in the Woods 3 ball may inspire a return to form for this cocky youngster. No experience around here can be expected to be a negative, but it didn't hinder Matsuyama last year. .6pt e.w Patrick Reed 50-1 |

Jim Furyk out to 36 on here. Unless Jim has been on the Gin all morning, that is far too big.

Disappointing finish from Jason Dufner.
Misses 4ft bird on 17 and DB on 18 .Matsuyama was absolutely clinical today. One thing to cling to is he got a bit antsy after shots that were not bad late on, and unusually left a mid range putt short. Grasping at straws as a non backer maybe, but...... |
|
By:
What in the name of Jesus was BVP doing on the back 9. And Byrd DB the last also. Infuriating.
Hopefully Rose can do the business tomorrow. Or Jimbo if Rose falters. Noren looking good for you in Europe Huddys. Best of luck there. |
|
By:
Well done on Noren Huddys , ..I hope Rose can hang on for you Callit; a great finish is likely, .. Jason Dufner mind hasn,t been on his golf in the last year or so with the announcement of himself and his wife are divorcing ;might be best not backing for a while Callit.

Thanks frank,ye come on Rose,
|

Shocking swing on 14 there. Thought he had one hand on it after the bird on 13. Only himself to blame after poor approach.
Dufner finding his form Frank. Couple of weeks in contention...he will be right back on it. He wont be long finding himself another dolly. WD on Noren Huddys. Very poor effort over the weekend from Pepperel. |

I do often tell a gambling friend that he should quit smoking.
He always responds that his smoking is a lot healthier than my golf betting!! Between Kirk two weeks ago, Kjeldsen last week, and now Rose.....I'm starting to believe him!! |

I never included you on other thread Frank......apologies.

By:
2 brave putts there
|
|
By:
Rose nearly went past the hole and back in!!
Lingmerth got v lucky with his third hitting the hole, but deserved it I feel. His putting has been superb. |
|
By:
Great stuff
|
|
By:
Unlucky Callit hope you laid at 1.15
|
|
By:
No, didn't lay a bean Frank.
Lingmerth putting under pressure was quality. |
|
By:
Livingstone you cretin.
Reckons Rose being cost a shot by the supporters didn't matter in the end!! If a lad scores one better then the playoff total...then he usually wins! God I cant stand him. |
|
By:
I could be wrong Callit but im i right in thinking that you put up Lingmerth in the not so distant past in other Tournements, he was a hugh price to win this.
|
|
By:
Yeah have been a fan, especially on tough layouts. Very similar player to Brendon Todd. Managed to miss them both on their big day!

The golf all ways a good read on the irish forum, I played mr love at 1000 for a fiver [dont laugh] david Lingmerth is worth a bet at 260/1 here, but henrik stenson is a stand out at 30/1 great value, good luck with your bets lads. Frank also 'been a fan' too ![]() |
