One to lay imo is Macnicholson, this fellow never look happy jumping fences the last day, never had a cut at anyone of them and looked for all the world as if he'd rather be somewhere else. Jessies are in rip roaring form but this lad would be worth taking on today. Good luck all punters.
You are correct Wr that Macnicholson was very tame over his fences the last day with the bag of spuds on top of him no help. However, that seems to have been taken into account already by the market at his current price if you are looking to lay him. It shouldn't be ignored that he faced proper horses going a proper gallop the last day. He is up against two of the biggest screwballs in training today in Akorakor and Clonbanan Lad. I wouldn't back him but I wouldn't chase a lay too hard at bigger than 5/2.
Two pretty unappetising cards to be honest. Some horses like Sight Hound that are beatable at the top of markets but dearth in opposition. I backed Mustadrik @ 5/2 last night and he is likely my only bet. Don't think I've ever backed a 4yo in a handicap over three miles. Surely only misfortune can beat him though.

Clonbanon has been a big dissapointment they were thinking he'd go on to bigger things TTK,after his bumper win they were really talking him up. Arorakor is another they thought would hit the heights if i remember correctly, backed this lad against my better judgement having looked at him in the parade at Navan in a hot novices, a little to much back in the hock for my liking, think another Giggy one won it, hoping his jumping holds up as can see Mac throwning in the towel if things don't go his way.

A little to much back in the hock, thats a good one. Most mere mortals wouldnt know the significance of such a statement, but when it comes from an expert paddock watcher, then we have to sit up and take notice.

Must say that's a new one to me too. You sure you are not referring to him being cow hocked? The use of "Back" or "Over" generally relates to discussing front legs.

Tell the King, you do realise that wonky was at the parade ring one night at leopardstown and failed to notice the favourites pendulum swinging like a grandfather clock. The guy wouldnt know its hock from its elbow. Another thing is that the horse never ran in a hot novices at Navan, and that race he did run in wasnt won by another Giggy horse. So basically what this is as usual from wonks, is a big pile of shiite. But then again we'd be surprised if it was anything other than that.

Thing is Paulie is right, looked at him in the parade ring went down had my 300 on him, couldn't belive it when I got home and read he'd showed how much i had affected him.
