A cracking group of 3yo fillies this year where as the Colts initially appear unconvincing anyway.
A decent concession from PP here (only on a couple of them though really) with NRNB particularly when there is some speculation about the Coolmore fillies being supplemented for the Derby.
I suspect (guess) that Found won't run in either race at Epsom at this stage.
I really like the Newmarket Guineas winner Legatissimo and 7/2 with the NRNB concession (in case they run her in the derby) looks generous considering she is trading @4.3 on here (without NRNB).
She looks to me that the step in trip will suit her even more so as was really flying at the death over nearly 10F at Gowran.
Her dam Yummy Mummy was just a 10 F maiden winner but her pedigree is laden with stamina as she is a full sister to Fame and Glory.
I am presuming Ryan Moore will ride her and not that weasel Lordan.
Stoute's filly was impressive but it was only a listed race and not sure what she beat at Newbury.
Jack Naylor would be an interesting runner despite connections,she ran very well at the Curragh and apparently looked like she would improve from it. (hope she doesn't run tbh)
I think Coolmore are very likely to win this classic.
I have also backed Together Forever who ran a decent race at York with a 4lb penalty and I think might be overpriced at 10/1 (NRNB)

Disappointing to see no alternative viewpoints on the Oaks considering people are constantly moaning about the bickering threads.
Found won't take part in any race at Epsom but Ballydoyle still have a strong hand with 3 reasonable chances. I was expecting someone to take me to task over the apparent weakness of the Newmarket Guineas form and I would concur with that theory to an extent. I am hoping that it lacked strength in depth but the 2 fillies that dominated were 5 lengths clear of an admittedly doubtful stayer. The Irish Guineas looked a belter of a renewal but we do have some thin form to attempt to compare the merits of the form. The fourth at Newmarket Malabar could only manage a disappointing eight at the Curragh but I am inclined to believe she ran to a similar level,perhaps surprisingly she was beaten a very similar six lengths in each classic. I could have sworn Bolger intimated that after Pleascach won at Naas that Lucida would run in the Irish guineas and Pleascach would go for the Ribblesedale. Perhaps they worked out that they couldn't beat Found for speed with Lucida and hence ensured the strong gallop for the gutsy Pleacseach. Maybe Lucida just had a hard race at NM as also suggested. What a piece of form that listed race at Navan was with Bocca Bacciata,Pleascach and the ever improving Diamondsandrubies. The Stoute filly is been really well backed (R.Hughes) and we all know how Stoute brings fillies along gradually but all be it she was seriously impressive,she beat trees imo - Montalcino and Pamona. The selections I think are the only ones with Group 1 winning form though,Jack Naylor is a bit interesting on that eyecatching Guineas run though. Legaitissimo looks like getting her ground though and is still overpriced imo. |

She already beaten Legatisamo as a 2 yo. I'd prefer to be on her at 7s. |

Indeed could not have those connections as Oaks winners, the filly will probably run like a drain in it and peak some evening in July at Leopardstown at near double figure odds having gotten over her guineas exertions.
The o'Brien filly Together Forever doesn't do much wrong and it might be significant he is keeping Found for ascot, the group having the fav excepted. |

the way legatissimo won the guineas looks the pick on form, possible this jack naylor could improve for the longer trip and does have a much better dam side, danehill dancer has a proven track record at producing group 1 winners. will be champs elysees first group 1 winner if jack naylor does win. im on these two coolmore horses
as well, together forever should be no worries about the trip, legatissimo looks like has the speed and good running style, there has to be some doubts about the distance and the weak damside. |

Ya wouldnt back Fran Berry in a 0-65 at Bellewstown. More than likely has no chance anyway but if it had, it has none now.

I think Star of Seville is a cracking e.w bet at 16s.
Some may say that she was running out of fumes at York, and was lucky to hold on form the fast finishing Together Forever, who was conceding 4lbs. I saw it rather differently. SOS put the race to bed early in the straight, when TF hadn't got the tactical speed to go with her. SOS was then very green and gawky, and allowed TF back into it, but at the line SOS was readily holding her. The 4lbs is insignificant....SOS will have come on a bundle for such an experience. Yes APOBs improve plenty for an outing, but TF looks like a pony, and I doubt she will improve much during the year. The opposite can be said about Star of Seville, and apart from Legatissimo who has Group One winning form, and an exciting(but as yet still potential only) Cyrstal Zvezda, there aren't many in here with the potential X factor. SOS still has that, and seems to have been prematurely written off by the layers. |

All I can say is this, and I'm not sure what will win it, but if Jack Naylor wins the Oaks under Fran Berry , I'd never again even offer an opinion in a race . Are people seriously thinking this can win?. It's an absolute million zillion .

Tony she wasn't last lto. She was beaten 7 lengths in the Irish 1000 staying on late. Couldn't have had her as a winner but she was as entitled to be in the first 7 or 8 on that run if she improved again.

I was disappointed with the Racing Post Weekender this week.
As usual their Pedigree pointers article for the two Epsom classics analyses six horses in each race. (with Zawraq out they analysed five Derby runners). Of course they did not analyse Qualify. This has happened for a few years. They analyse a few horses, often ignoring the winner. If they have a pedigree article surely they must look at all the runners, especially with only 11 and 12 in the fields. |

there is not much between some of his horses, and the winner was trained for that race in mind, aiden looked very happy after the race, like he
was expecting that kind of result. unlucky loser legatissimo. fastnet rock has produced over 30 group 1 winners and more importantly gets winners at varying distances, sprinters , middle distances. should of put my cover bet on the winner, because always thought the star of seville race was weak form and so wasted bet on TF. |
