Looks to be two good bets in the first two, albeit both pretty short.

Shadagaan has the potential to be quite a bit better than a Ballinrobe maiden winner, and looks to have little to fear from his main rivals in the first.

Utmost Zeal appears to have become regressive, and I believe like a lot of Big Bad Bobs he prefers plenty of juice in the ground. His latest effort was disappointing, and he will encounter similar ground conditions today.

Mr Boss Man is consistent, but very one paced. Though he probably just failed to see out the 3m last time, he certainly looks like he will prefer more than an easy two.

Its not hard to see PC sitting 3rd or 4th, and picking off thess two at will.

There will probably be another day for Sarwistan, and like most Irish maiden hurdles, not many others will be off.

Shadagaan was progressive on the flat, his last run being his best, when a slow start and being rushed up wide, then free, cost him the race. 5-2 looks very big considering the negatives for the others.

The second race looks like a 2 horse race, and when one of them looked like a complete knacker last time out, I am more than prepared to take the 11-10 on Hostile Fire.

It will be interesting how Carberry rides that horse in the first. He had much more use made of him on the flat than he has in two starts over jumps. He will surely be good enough to collect if he is put into the race.

I liked Hostile Fire on the flat and thought he would make a good horse for Elliot. He has done ok so far but he looks like he could be a bit of a short runner and Ballinrobe is more testing these days with the extended back straight. I think if the other horse is right he would win. Difficult to be too bullish after his last run though. Later in the fifth Elliot's horse looks a point and shoot on his best form.

It's best to get today's card out of the way first but Ballinrobe have put together an excellent card tomorrow for a summer jumps meeting. The track is a credit to Irish racing.

Was in Ballinrobe last Thursday , they were praying for decent weather having lost their first fixture . For a smallish track away from major conurbations they do a great job , track of the year in 2012 . I always enjoy being there .  Missing it this week , poor scheduling on my part , competition from Rory and co locally here .

Looks like you could back a few winners tonight .

Like Queen Alphabet as well Tony,it was well fancied in Killarney but taken out when the rain came, form looks very handy, looks short enough now though.
Fair enough comments regarding Mr.Boss Man,i'd add he isn't the most fluent either but still would be my ew play at 4/1, his charity race run swayed me,it was a bad case of premature celebration by Rory Slevin but decent horses behind, that run would nearly due here and he travelled well til weakening late on last time over as said a lot further. Surprised he is currently odds against for a place here.

Well done Pa, and even though it didnt matter in the finish as the best horse undoubtedly won, it was a classic Paul Carberry ride on the favourite.
The trademark being too far back, letting the biggest dangers in the race control it from the outset, getting stopped making its run and finally the powder puff slap of the whip. I dont really know why Paul bothers whipping horses as its highly unlikely the slap even registers with the animal.
Quite obviously Pauls brain cell was left in the weigh room for that contest, still theres always the next race.

I`m not convinced that Queen Alphabet gives her all at times, and I have laid her @ 2/1......... yes she has the form in better handicap`s, but 11-10 is a worry for me.

Pa Lapsy as constant as the Northern Star.

Lots of irony in that race.
Mr Boss Man ran in a charity race at Punchestown where his rider Rory Slevin done an impression of Roger Loughran and Central House by celebrating too soon allowing Bishopslough to sweep by.
Bishopslough won in Killarney,Mr Boss Man then follows him in by winning in Ballinrobe with none other than Roger Loughran riding.

Good call with Slevin’s Pa. Hadn’t even looked at the place market on the race till you mentioned he was odds against.

That Vercingetorix is a wrong one after not collecting that race. I’d give Coldstonesober a right chance in the second last race. Don’t normally delve into those type races but he has done it in better races and around the track. Looks solid against shorter priced runners fielded by flakey trainers.
By:

Coldstonesober????? will go double in price in-running, needs to be kept up to his work. And two miles around here will assure he will go much bigger in-running. It`s All An Act will go shorter in-running, looks the pacesetter, hope that helps people, before the off.

I'd be surprised with the place market at times TTK,more often then not it isn,t great value as such but you get the odd land with it at times, worth a look if you fancy a horse to run well but doubt it is good enough to win.
Fair drift on Alphabet in the last few minutes up to the off, stone last for a horse that races in midfield was enough, long flat straight like Mallow would probably be ideal for her, point with her being a bit highly handicapped is fair enough. With hindsight(ha,the easy part) The Nutcrackers 2nd to Space Ship was a good run and she was well in.

8.00 sizing network
a decent beginners chase and im chanceing him fto over fences but he looks a chaser,@6/1 hes worth a e/w bet.
be interested in in others thoughts and fancies in this race rock the world always looks like hes cruising and chasing could be his thing but does he prefer softer ground?

If Dysios runs his race then there will be only one winner. He ran in some very good races during the winter and it could prove a blessing in disguise that he didn't win. Only two runs ago he was running a stormer in a good novice handicap chase. That fall and his subsequent tame effort over hurdles are a bit of a concern. The price compensates though and he will win if he's right. The big field will hopefully produce good gallop which will bring his experience into play.

The Gatechecker is rotten in the wind and has been done twice already I think. He's a likely winner given how bad a race it is but you'd want to be careful about going in hard on him.
By:

When: 26 May 15 10:19
Was going to ask about the Gatechecker, he went very close the last time for a McManus horse as weak as he was in the betting. Twas soft when Elliot's won in Carlisle and fav backers would be hoping Gordon might just be having a look today, might the course and wanting slightly further be an issue for him as well? The wind issue puts another perspective on it at these prices but I fancy him bar that.

Dysios will do one thing tonight and that will be, get beaten. Because that is what Dysios does and will always do.
Will more than likely be too far back as well, and although may well look like it could win at some point, it wont.
By:

When: 26 May 15 12:43
You may well be right. However, what he certainly has going for him is that he's up against chasing debutants, one of which doesn't like to win and the other is less talented (though not fully exposed). Whatever Carberry does it also won't be any worse than the way puppy would have ridden him.

The Gatechecker was pushed along a good bit out at Killarney but stayed on well enough and had decent ones behind in Childrens List and winner since Mollyanna,as said above very likely winner but not for me at the current price.
Huge drift on Off the Mark in the opener.
Didn't like No Kidding's ears at all at Limerick last time and would be well aware she probably has issues with the hood an all, could well chuck it at the end but i'll chance her ew for a few reasons, only rated 89,she plugged on well enough at Limerick with Dollar and a Dream,Deano, and Chakisto(ran well last night) behind, not a bad run and would seem a better race than tonights.Fav Royal Boru seems solid in the betting and is dangerous on the Five O' Clock Tea line though generally i'm not usually a fan of those getting sent across to northern UK tracks that form equates well enough in this(poor) race.GL with your punts.

Your 6s on Sizing looks nice now Tony. I laid the jolly at 2.62. Nothing about him screams chaser. He was fiddly at his hurdles when asked for a long one, and I doubt he will make the grade.

Its a pretty decent race for its type, so have place laid aswell.

Missed the start of that.

Did Dysio and ASN fall independently or was one brought down?

The winner jumped well enough but had it all his own way. Could win some nice races over the summer although taking him on in running in a half decent Galway race if he is travelling coming to the last two might not be the worst thing to do.

Carnage stuff. Had nice bet on Dysios to place as well as a win bet. Probably nothing to beat the winner but Dysios was 1.01 to place after Potts horse exited as only two other horses were interested in getting involved. C’est la vie.

Winner jumped fine but he was given it soft in front around there. As DV says, he would be one to take on later on. I think there’s a good novice chase in Tipp during the summer that he would be targeted at if kept on the go.

Potts horse UR’d at the 2nd and ran loose across the 4th, an incident which resulted in the departure of several runners.

Would be backing him to lay around Galway as I would definitely say he will enjoy the summer ground rather than the heavy stuff he has raced on many times despite some of his placings on it.

He could be very short while travelling well coming to those fences. We would need some pretty decent chasers in against him though. Maybe Mulholland will bring Fox Norton over although the way he screwed some of his fences would not instill confidence.

He’s staying on the go according to Power anyway. He’s probably a better horse than Alelchi Inois who cleaned up last summer in them type races. Can’t think off the top of my head what Willie has in for them races.

He came away very easily and won in a canter but he made a few errors that you would want to see ironed out in a hurry.
