You using the new site? I still use the old site, gives you an option to switch back to that, the new site does my head in

To access the old site theres a link on the top right corner of the screen under the log in area.
The interface on the phone app changed recently and I find it far less user friendly. |

Thanks for the cordial replies.
The phone app is unworkable so I have abandoned it. I put up my bets in relays, you now have to enter the stake each time, the letters come up first which didnt happen before. A bar comes across and blocks me pressing the back button for a few vital seconds The request to confirm seems to take an age. That twirling thing drives me mad it seems like some Chinese torture. It takes an age to update your position. I had too much on a horse recently as the update didnt kick in. My bet history seems to be gone,I like to see what bets got matched this is no longer possible, this could lead to some misunderstanding. Hope they revert back to the old system. |

I'd say just stick with the old site. Went onto the new site to see what you were on about and it's a **** of a set up.
I do most punting on the phone app and it was fine until recently. Didn't even notice an update, just the interface changed. I imagine they are targeting my generation with a flashy app. Not much use though if it doesn't work. Was even worse when I tried to log-in on another person's phone yesterday during the hurling (a less advanced smartphone to my own). It had a complete meltdown trying to open the app. |

Look it could be me but there seems to be only one site on my tablet.
That has deteriorated as well,I'm constantly logging in. The numbers are harder to type and it too is much slower with its three twirling things. |

I'd assumed you'd be pitched up in front of a desktop Wildman. I imagine the tablet app, like the phone app, is new site only.

Met Soapp at the Curragh he was giving out stink about the new app , in fact he's switched to the purple one instead ..
|
|
By:
the new app is dirt , where the fk do they get them from ? I know teenagers that could do a better job!
|
|
By:
indeed but I rarely use betfair..but if I were you Wildman as the lads have said stick to the old site...I find 365 pp fine for me..sky bet also..

No colours on the old site today. The end is near..
|
|
By:
I had a purple account before but let it slide am going to re activate.
I actually need the expertise of DJ876 here, why would Betfair want to slow betting down, why would they want to make it awkward and cause confusion. I know I'm missing something here but have once again abandoned betting for the night. |

I have a tablet but only bet through a laptop, dinosaur in the tech department, know you will hate this suggestion but maybe try starting a thread on chit chat, say help wanted with tablet, some techie people there and generally do their best to help.

I use the old site too. Hard to complain about Betfair; they revolutionised betting for all of us.

Loads of people having problems as far back since Zoombet.
Best/quickest option and what I use is a tablet with full Windows 8 and not the Windows RT version and this http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/ If you have an Android tablet then maybe try these App http://www.betondroid.com/en/releases/ or http://www.traderlinemobile.com/ If you just want to access the old site then try this link http://sports.betfair.com/?optout=true |

By:
what ever happened zoombet?it was a great app..
|
|
By:
They have their reasons - with zoombet, they could not bombard you with information on the current most popular bets, colour adds and links to arcade and casino etc. simple tools to get you to spend more money.
agree with the general gist of this thread - the old screens / phone apps much more user friendly. |

The new App is designed for Games, Arcade Bingo
The Horse racing piece takes up a lot of memory so this reduces the amount of games on the app, so betfair by providing a crap app are hoping horse racing punters will exit and Apps going forward will have no racing sections but loads of games only. |

old site

talks over on football forum that the old site will be gone at start of football season. if so...a mass change to purple id predict
|
|
By:
A lot of the successful lads here(not me obviously) would love to see a strong Purple, in an aspirational sense, I would as well. It will probably never be my trouble but I hate the idea of 60% after 250k. I gather its tough enough after even 20k.

This company has the best product in the world, and the best there will ever be at that, they are massive underachievers.
|
|
By:
Could they not have separate apps, one for the arcade and games one for the exchange.

When you log in can you scroll down and click on the link for full site?
If you can then the my account option gives you access to your my bets section and also your p and l. |
