The Marble Hill is a race Ger Lyons targets every year and 11/4 Blood Moon to be placed looks like value to me. Lyons has already beaten Washington DC and was 1 and a half lengths behind State of Emrgency at the Curragh 3 weeks ago but I expect him to reverse that form on this better ground and run into a place today.
The globetrotters Gordon Lord Byron and Sole Power are a credit to Irish sprinters and given their ideal conditions would be hard to overlook but they haven't got them today. Sole Power has never won beyond 5 furlongs and on ground slower than good. Gordon Lord Byron probably has better credentials with both ground and trip but may not be value. Incredibly, neither of them has won at the Curragh. As long as there is juice in the ground my preference is for Maarek E/W at 11/1 who appears to be coming back to form. Astaire is his biggest danger.
Aiden said he will never win by much[like Giants Causeway ] but he will be much better on fast ground,I think he,s a bit special myself, i hope he stays sound.

Workmanlike today imo, though Ryan didn't give him a great ride, he was lucky the gap appeared when it did otherwise he could have got beat. Still a winners a winner.
